Close to the European Institutions, the 'Park Royal', the 'Palais Royal', about a 15 minute walk away from the historic center, a metro station 'Madou' from which you can go within seven minutes to the 'Gare centrale' and the 'Gare du Midi'.
This calm and bright apartment is situated in a typical 'Maison de Maître', which means a typical 19th century townhouse in Brussels with high ceilings. An experienced architect renovated this apartment with a trendy Flemish touch.
When entering the apartment you will find a hall, a toilet and a bathroom with a shower (typical Belgian black stone on the floor and stained glasses).
The fully equipped kitchen in is a bright main room (22 sqm). There is a bedroom with a real bed and a cozy tv-room with a sofa bed. This room is perfect for relaxing on the sofa, working, listening to music or watching tv (DVD player available). Within a minute this room can also be turned up into an extra bedroom thanks to the sofa bed.
In these rooms there is a wooden floor (oak) and two dubble-glazed windows with curtains.
The kitchen contains everything you need for catering: fridge, deep freezer, gas cooker, sink, a coffee machine (coffee and tea included), microwave, traditional oven, a dishwasher and all kind of basic kitchen ware and utensils.
The bed has been carefully selected to be extra comfortable: good innerspring mattress completed with a duvet (adaptable thickness) and two kinds of pillows to match perfectly with your sleeping wishes.
The bathroom contains a shower and a sink (old stained glasses on the walls). The toilet is separated from the bathroom (but in the apartment!).
The location of the flat is very convenient for travelers, businessmen, trails or a group of four people.
The South Station ('Gare du Midi') and the Central Station ('Gare Centrale') are easy to reach thanks the underground (within 7 minutes).
It is very close to Place Madou and 5 minute walk from both Arts - Loi and Madou metro stops. These two metro stations connect you to all lines (1/5 and 2/6) which can take you to pretty much any location in the city.
From Bruxelles Midi train station, there are shuttles to the airports (Brussels National Airport and Brussels South - Charleroi Airport).
It's also an excellent starting point to discover Brussels or the surrounding of Brussels (via underground, train, tram or bus) as well as the European District.
The European Commission, the European Council and the European Parliament are 5 minutes walk away. There's even an automatic bike rental station there!
There's an alarm system in the apartment.

Nice night on brussel with calm and good advice
Joffrey was in touch constantly .he is a great host.
The neigborhood was quiet and safe.
You made an mistake when you left your review and sent it to my private mail box on Airbnb... ;-)
Here's your review (copy paste):
The apartment was beautifully decorated and in a very convenient location close to the city center just 15 minutes walk from Groβe Markt..There is a metro station quite near but we prefered to walk.. It was convenient the fact that there were all the necessary equipments for preparing meals ,although we prefered to have our lunch out. Joffrey provided by mail lots of recommendations and suggestions before our trip .He is a great host and very helpful. I hope that next time I will meet him in person!!
Joffrey has been the most interactive host I have had the pleasure of "meeting" through Airbnb. He was very accommodating despite my very late arrival, and offered me two options to pick up keys to the apartment. Once we decided on one option, he gave me very detailed directions on the streets to walk, that even my weary mind (after a long day at work, a flight to Belgium, and a shuttle from Charleroi) could understand. I felt completely safe walking the streets at 1am (actually, it was one of my favorite memories, to have that small part of Brussels all to myself during that time of night). Joffrey proactively kept in touch the entire time between Airbnb messaging and Whatsapp, and provided very keen recommendations and suggestions on my visit in Brussels and also my itinerary in Belgium. He even had his housekeeper leave chocolates (completely out of his gentility) in the house for me "to fortify strength after a long journey!" The apartment is an easy walk from Madou and Arts-Loi metro stops, walkable from Gare di Midi (although I did not due to rain and cold), 10-15 min walking to Le Sablon and Grand-Place, is in the EU section that had many different cuisines (I saw Chinese, Polish, Lebanese, just on my short walk). The apartment has great wifi, perfect size for 2-4 people, a well kept and modern kitchen and bathroom, clean-smelling and comfortable sheets/bed, it really felt as if a extension of home! Thanks to Joffrey for providing maps and guides of Bruxelles (with tips/notes from previous travelers) ready for you on the dining table (my favorite was the 500 secrets of Brussels book). I met the housekeeper the next morning as she came to tidy up, and we had a warm conversation (in my broken French) as I gathered my things (as I was slightly late with check-out, but no one seemed to mind). They are such great people! Joffrey offered (without any prompt from me) for me to store bags at his place and even offered me access to amenities in his own flat. Not only was this a place to stay, Joffrey and his housekeeper made it an incredibly enjoyable experience through human interaction. It has restored quite a bit of faith back in the world, for me! Merci beacoup, Joffrey! A bientôt!
Morning Cecilia! Your unexpected last second booking was as it was an 'ordinary booking'. I and Najet have tried to do our best to let you enjoy your short stay in Brussels. Hosting, helping and offering you some Belgian chocolate was a way to welcome you in our city! Hope yo you you back next time you'll be coming to Brussels... I've an other apartment. If it's available during your next stay, I'll 'upgrade ' you for free... MERCI MERCI!
Antoine
The place was really nice and spacious with everything we needed. Joffrey was a great host - he had loads of great tour books and leaflets - with various scribbles - some things hearted telling us we had to check them out, others with a line through. Meant we got a really great personal tour of Brussels via the books! Joffrey kept in touch - checking we had everything we needed, making sure we were okay, and offering daily tips and suggestions in case we were stuck. A fantastic host - thanks for a great time!
Très bonne première expérience airbnb.
Jeoffrey est à l'écoute et n'hésite pas à chouchouter ses hôtes.
Très bon week-end, l'appartement est nickel.
We stayed in Brussels for one night and were pleasantly surprised by J's apartment. The interior space is modern with a great bathroom and kitchen. The small living room couch is very comfortable as well. J was the most attentive host we've ever had and though we didn't meet him, that didn't stop him from messaging us each day with itinerary ideas and tips. His housekeeper showed us into the apartment and was incredibly friendly as well. The apartment is located in a quiet area just outside the city center (about a 15 minute walk).

I'm a friendly man with a very positive outlook on life.
I am an endlessly curious. I love to experience the world with eyes wide open. I never stop exploring, discovering and evolving.
Life to me is a storybook full of fascinating tales. I amass information 'on the hoof' and very little passes me by.
I always keep my mind active. I am quite refined, well educated and I like to remain totally classless. This makes it easy for me to get on with just about any sort of person. I am thought-provoking and even quite deep on occasions.
I get involved in other exciting things which keep me busy too, such as reading books, newspaper and cultural magazines, photography, video editing, theatre, music, fitness and movies.
I strongly believe a very clean, secure, welcoming feel, and comfortable house is of paramount importance to travellers who don't want to break their bank account!
I have been travelling on my own since the age of 14!
When you stay at my place I will make you feel a member of my family as my life's golden rule is to treat others as you wish to be treated!
I am always on an adventure. Enjoy hearing about people's travels and life styles. It stands to good reason why you would enjoy staying in my home: it is a warm and caring place.
I look forward to meeting you and show the true Belgian hospitality with a Belgian French fries taste!
