This was our first trip to Rome and first airBnB stay. We left with a great impression of both. The medieval studio is in a great location. In May, the area that didn't feel overcrowded with tourists. It is adjacent to trastevere, a great neighborhood. But it was still easy to walk to all the major sites -- we only took a cab once while there. Luca was friendly, efficient and responsive throughout the booking and stay, and provided most of the amenities (hair Dryer, fast, reliable wifi, etc.) that you would expect at a hotel. I would recommend to friends and would certainly stay here again!
Luca was a charming host. He met us at the apartment and gave us a thorough introduction to both the apartment and the city. The apartment is very well kept, and superbly located for both amazing eateries and also all the beautiful attractions of Rome. The supermarket a couple of doors down is also very handy! I would certainly recommend this apartment if you are looking to stay in Rome.
Luca's apartment was definitely our favorite in Italy; it had the ancient charm Rome is known for with the modern conveniences we were looking for in a rental. We thought the apartment was a lot more spacious than it looked in pictures, and we felt comfortable and safe there. There are stairs, but not many and they were very easy to climb.
Luca was a great host - he adjusted his schedule to meet us, went through everything we needed to know before he left, provided a phone for local calls, and made sure he was available if we needed anything; he also arranged a driver to take us to the airport for the same rate as a taxi.
The location of the apartment was also great - right across the bridge from some great little restaurants and beer joints. The gelato place at the end of the street (Punto) became one of our favorite treats! The only thing other renters should know is that it is a busy street for foot traffic, so on the weekends you will hear people fairly late in the evening; we left the TV on and it wasn't as noticeable. The week nights were pretty quiet.
We would most definitely recommend this apartment as a place to stay and Luca as a host. We were very pleased.
Gran experiencia
Luca was the perfect host and his apartment is exactly as described/photographed. This was our first AirBnB rental and was really impressed with the entire process. Check in was flawless. He touched base once to make sure all was going well during our stay. WIFI is stong. Great electronics, quality bedding & towels. We LOVED the location. Walked most places except the Borghese & train station. We stayed over the weekend so there was revelry in alleyway below. But in truth, I enjoyed it. It was happy sounds of people singing. I chose this spot to be in the middle of it all. I slept soundly with the windows closed. If you like complete silence at night this might not be the spot for you. For me, I wouldn't have changed a (website hidden) Tons of amazing spots to eat close by & a market a few doors down!
