At the heart of pretty and world famous "Saint Germain des Prés", this studio-flat is located at the 5th floor (please note: no elevator) of a 17th century building.
It is 27 m² and has all amenities inside: kitchen, fully equiped, including washing machine, TV, Wifi internet, bathroom with bathtube, and 1 single bed + 1 sofa-bed (for 2 persons).
It is quiet (side street) though in the middle of bubbling area, with all kind of shops and art galleries around.
Right downstairs is a grocery store "Monoprix", that is furnishing everything, from food to clothes & usefull products.
Famous "star-corner" restaurant of Sushi is in front of the building. In a 150 M round around the building are all type of cuisine restaurants: traditionnal french, italian, asian, Antilles style, English-irish pubs and french "bistros"...
Seine river is a few meters away, and Louvres can be reached by walking. All the other attractions are in a close location: Jardin des Plantes, Latin district, Eiffel Tower, ...
Closest Metros: Saint Germain des Prés/Odeon/Mabillon
Several buses downstirs.
Due to its chemney, and beams, it is a "mountain-style chalet" flat, that makes it especially cosy, and warm feeling, like at home.
View on the roofs and top of Eiffel tower from the window.
Full flat is yours, no restrictions.
Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the world famous Jazz and arty area of Paris.
Very safe also.
Metro line 4 down the street, buses to Montparnasse & all around down the street, and walking distance to major attractions (Louvres, Seine river, art galleries, ile de la Cité & ile Saint Louis, ...)
Electricity consumption is charged upon the meters reading (arrival&departure).
Respectfull behaviour is expected regarding the use of the flat, and the neighbours (no loud noise after 10 pm).
No smoking inside.
Was an amazing location, definitely close to the metro which is only up the road from the apartment. A very safe neighbourhood, my friend and I felt completely safe walking back around 11pm at night. The apartment is just like the pictures, a little small but definitely enough room for two people, regardless of where you go in Paris, I think all the apartments are around the same size. There are quite a number of stairs to get to the apartment so if you heavy bags this could prove to be a little bit of a challenge as some of the stairs are uneven and we found them to be a little slippery. For the price you pay you do get an amazing location which is a 15 minute walk to the Louvre and lots of nice cafes and restaurants about.
The place was absolutely gorgeous, and it was everything they claimed, and more. The space was definitely large enough for the two of us, and other than a slight hiccup about the hot water (which Alexandra responded to within minutes of me sending her a message), was a wonderful experience.
The apartment is located in a 17th century building located right in the middle of everything, and is in walking distance (or at least, a short cab ride) to all the major attractions paris has to offer.
The only thing I would mention is that there are a lot of stairs to get up to the apartment. Not really a huge deal, but be aware of this fact if you have trouble with stairs or are traveling with large bags.
That being said, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking.
Fantastic flat. As central as you can be. While it may be a few extra steps to the apartment, it's worth it. Cozy and quiet with all the amenities you'd need and at the center of it all. Would definitely stay here again.
Alexandra was a very good host for our time in Paris. She was easy to contact both before and during our stay, but never felt overbearing. The apartment is in a truly excellent location in the Saint Germain area. It is a quite small studio apartment, but has everything you need for a stay of most lengths--we stayed for 5 weeks and had no problem. If you're looking for a unique place to stay in Paris, I highly recommend it!
Enjoyed my stay here. It is in the perfect location for Paris! I would stay here again.
I stayed in this apartment for 3 months and I really enjoyed.
I t is for sure in the best location of Paris. Just in the middle of Saint Germain des Près and very close to the metro (line 4) and to a lot of bus stops.
The apartment itself is really how you see it through the photos. It has everything you need to live with quite comfortable. The only not so good thing is that it is in the last floor and there is not elevator.. so it can be quite difficult to get everything up there (and the other way around) if you have a lot of luggage.
The building is ok, it has a passcode to get in like almost every other building in Paris, but the structure is really really old and "ugly"! Alex told me they now decided to make a reform so probably it will all be fixed.
Overwal it was a great stay and I would definitely go back!
I've stayed for 2 months in Alexandra's studio which was perfectly suitable. Location is definitely unbeatable, everything is just around the corner. Studio looks exactly as on pictures, it is quite spacious, good equipped and with a view (really!) which is rare in old Parisian quarters. Alexandra is very good hostess, reachable and respectful for the privacy of tenants. Definitely recommend!
