Our Beach House, steps from the water, is a beautiful open space with sweeping views of the ocean from every room. This is a gorgeous place to escape and unwind, for two people.

Minimum Stay 5 nts.

The space

Our private beach house rental is on an amazing stretch of beach, and is cradled by palm trees that blow in the ocean breezes....

The dining room is created from a huge bay window that looks out over the cove. The bedroom lies behind a wall of glass that sits just above the kitchen. The bedroom boasts a sunken tub that looks out over the cove. Imagine yourself soaking in this tub listening to the gentle waves lap on our shoreline..... The house also offers a great view out French doors to the patio and the beach 12 feet beyond. We have recently add some more window coverings for those of you who require more privacy.

The location is beautiful, right on the beach of Tankah Bay. The water is shallow, so it is easy to practice snorkeling, but you definitely need water shoes because of rocks and coral. The neighborhood is quiet and you will not find large crowds here. I recommend having a car, because Tulum is about 15 minutes away. The home is attractive and nicely decorated. It is all one big open space and there is a lot of light from many windows. We stayed during Christmas and enjoyed the holiday decorations in the home. The staff, Abram and Felicia, are there every day keeping things tidy and we absolutely love them. The owners lived on the property for part of our stay and we appreciated their help arranging a private chef for one night. I do have one warning though. Privacy was an issue. The listing didn't mention that there are two rental cabanas very close to the house. The other renters tried to be respectful, they couldn't help but intrude on our romantic getaway. Their cooking area is on the front wall of the house, which was a noise issue. At times all of the beach chairs were taken by other guests. The biggest problem is that our bed was visible through the large windows, with no way to block the view. We discussed this with June and Arturo and they were very empathetic. Hopefully they will add some window coverings and update the listing to mention the shared spaces.

It was a real privilege to stay at June and Arturo’s home. It was an extra treat to meet them before they left and learn a bit about the house, hear some stories and receive advice. They were so kind and flexible, even after I messed up our travel dates. They went above and beyond the call. The house is gorgeous, peaceful and comfortable. The beach is lovely with comfortable chairs and palm trees for shade, if desired. Snorkeling right out the front door is cool, although the entry into the ocean is full of hard coral. Do bring water shoes to walk on the beach or in the ocean. Don’t miss the cenote down the road. It is worth a swim – amazingly peaceful and beautiful. Their staff is great – Stephanie manages the listing and is extremely responsive. Cleaning and maintenance people took care of all our needs so we truly felt we were on vacation. There are three restaurants in walking distance. We were completely satisfied with the quality and options of the menus available at the two we visited. Watch out for the margaritas at Casa Cenote. They don’t taste strong, but wow! We cooked two meals a day and ate out for the third—sometimes walking down the road and sometimes driving in to Tulum. Theoretically you could do this place using taxi or colectivo (public transport), but that would be a lot of walking. For us, renting a car worked well, especially for easily going to the grocery store and other beaches. They have off street parking, so there is no problem in having a car. We can’t say enough great things about this place, and we definitely want to come back!

We really loved staying at June's house. Everything is exactly how you see it in the Pictures! We felt very much at home and enjoyed relaxing on the private beach (there is rarely anybody there but guests staying at the little cabana on the side) and snorkeling up to the reef. The fact that a maid was coming every two days was a huge plus! June and Arturo were very friendly and always ready to give nice tips and advices! A small but important sidefact: The rest of the coast had a huge seaweed Problem at the time. Due to the riff and the current only our part of the beach was seaweed-free. :) If you like to have privacy and some secludedness, then slice of paradise is the right place to be! Everything you need is reachable by car in max 10 min. It was the perfect stay for our honeymoon!

We loved our stay at June's beach house. The house is open and spacious with so many different spots to curl up in with a book or a glass of wine, and the view out across the water is amazing! Casa Cenote is literally a couple of minutes up the road and June's recommendation of El Camello to eat in Tulum had the most delicious fresh seafood. Isabelle the house keeper did such a great job which we really appreciated, and overall we found the beach house a great base from which to travel around Tulum. Highly recommended and we hope to make it back someday.

We arrived to our Cabana on Christmas Eve and immediately felt we had found paradise on earth. June and Art have the most beautiful and relaxing set up and they did everything to make us feel welcome and make sure we had everything we needed. We were on our honeymoon and it was the perfect spot for romance and relaxation. Thank you June and Art! We hope to be back soon! Caitlin and Damiano
