We had a very relaxing stay. The room and amenities met all of our expectations. The gardens are very pretty and provide a comfortable area to relax. Our hostess Ursula was gracious, friendly and very helpful
The locations is centrally located for day trips to the Mendocino Coast, the Wine Country of Sonoma County.
Ursula was a thoughtful host, we enjoyed chatting with her a bit. We also loved her garden studio. It was charming and quite spacious, and opened directly onto a garden with bench swing and room for eating outdoors. The kayaks are as nice as anything available to rent downtown. The studio is comfortable and a bit rustic; a screen door keeps most of the insects out, but lets the fresh air in.
This is our first time using airbnb and it couldn't be more perfect. A complete getaway weekend and unplugged from out stressful life kayaking up and down the river and enjoying great wine is a great change.
This was a fantastic find! If you like to be off the tourista-beaten path, this is the place. We toured fabulous vineyards & tasting rooms all over the Russian River Valley and I am a new fan of these amazing wines--too many to cover in a beautiful short driving range (10-25 mins). Also an easy drive to Sonoma which we did one day. It was delightful to awaken every morning to Ursula's amazing garden and we definitely paddled in the mornings--a real selling point for making the choice to stay here! Ursula was a sweet hostess and I would definitely come back here!
Ursula's garden is magical. I sat out there with a book and a glass of wine and was completely happy. It was really nice to have a little kitchen to make small snacks and picnic lunches, although you're so close to downtown Guerneville you can pop over to pick up take out (recommend Boon!) -- and bring it back to eat in the garden. I used the kayaks which were really fun -- quick walk right down to the bank of the Russian River. Ursula is lovely and will have lots of fun tips for you!
We had a great time staying at Ursula's studio. Right on the river, we explored Guerneville, the Redwoods, and even went out to Bodega Bay and Jenner thanks to Ursula's suggestion. Lots and lots to do and this is a great place to stay.
We had an excellent stay over the weekend with Ursula at her beautiful garden studio. We enjoyed use of the two kayaks and spent most of our time in her beautiful, sunny garden. The studio was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking and comfort. We can't wait to visit again!
The studio was quaint and lovely. The garden was beautiful and the location was perfect. There's no better access to the river than from the backyard. We had a wonderful time experiencing the birds, butterflies and wildlife while drinking our morning coffee along the river's edge. The studio is located at the end of a cul de sac so it's very quiet and relaxing.
Ursula was great, very hospitable, and welcoming
his was an incredibly clean studio space next to a patio garden. Ursula was a great hostess, very accommodating. The room and bathroom were nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. I had a restful experience in her home. I highly recommend this listing. This was my first time using airbnb and everything went very well. I highly recommend the room!
