The accommodations were very private, quiet and comfortable. With a beautiful garden and direct access to the Russian River, we really couldn't have asked for anything more.
I would be seriously remiss if I didn't mention the wonderful conversations we had with Ursula. The life experiences that we shared while drinking Pinot and eating chocolate under the bright stars is something we will always treasure.
Thank you Ursula for being such a wonderful hostess. We will be back asap.
We had a lovely stay -- quiet, peaceful, and restful while also having great access to the river, thanks to Ursula generously offering her canoe and kayaks. What a joy to wake up and walk down a few steps to the river and swim! A wonderful time.
Ursula was a wonderful host and the studio is so charming and lovely!
The unit was perfectly outfitted with everything you could need and want and is so beautiful, inside and out.
The studio looks out onto Ursula's enchanting country garden which is fitted with lantern lights, wind chimes, fruit trees, beautiful flowers, and swing chairs to soak it all up in!
My husband and I loved our weekend stay with Ursula and would recommend it to anyone!
My husband, daughter (10), and I enjoyed a lovely stay at Ursula's guest house. The guest home was clean, well furnished and had all the amenities we needed for sleeping, lounging and light cooking. We shopped in in the nearby town our first day and had a well stocked refrig. Ursula was friendly and helpful and accommodating. We used the two kayaks and canoe daily. The river is a very short walk from the house! You can sip your morning coffee at the river bank. We walked easily into town which was nice exercise. The town of Guernville is very charming with lots of places to eat or have coffee or ice cream. Armstrong Grove is a family favorite for hiking in the redwoods. All in all we would return to Ursula's airbnb for sure! Her garden is a wonderful spot to relax and unwind!!!
My travel companion and I both agree that Ursula had a lovely place to stay on The River. The accommodations were simple and clean. It had everything we needed. We ate our meals in, so the kitchen was adequately stocked with what we needed to prepare our simple meals. The garden was beautiful. Having kayaks and access to the river was a highlight of the trip...A genuine "summer on The Russian River" experience..I definitely will plan on staying there again.
We had such a lovely stay at Ursula's place, and my 11 months old daughter just loved her colorful, peaceful and amazing garden.
I came up here with two friends for a girls' weekend. The studio was the perfect home base for a relaxing weekend visiting wineries and floating on the river. The studio is small but clean and has all the essentials -- and you're probably going to want to spend all your time enjoying the beautiful garden and river anyways! The town of Guerneville is a short drive away (you could walk but it would be a little long) with a Safeway and several good bars and restaurants. The kitchen is equipped to cook simple meals. There is also a barbecue and two kayaks for your use (though we didn't get a chance to try them out). Ursula was a friendly and helpful host.
About the Host, Ursula
I came from Germany many years ago and have made my home here in Guerneville for the last 14 years. I have been working as a professor in San Francisco for a long time. - I love my house and surroundings; the beauty of it all is breath taking. Much delights me: Swimming in the river, kayaking. gardening and cooking. - I would like to share this abundance here with my guests.
