Charming studio on the Russian River. Enchanting gardens lead directly to river. Exceptional location for canoeing, kayaking and frolicking in the water. (1 canoe and 2 kayaks available.) Guerneville, one and a half hours north of San Francisco, has an idyllic small town atmosphere where time has stood still. The area offers many delights: hiking in Redwoods, wine tasting, beautiful ocean beaches, laid back coffee shops as well as fine dining. Guerneville is considered the heart of the Russian River. Come and see for yourself. Get away from it all. Minimum stay two nights. In the winter from November to February one night.
Very comfortable full-size bed with memory foam in which you can indulge your dreams. Another bed in a cozy alcove sleeps one adult or two children.
The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, dishes, pans, silverware, etc. Butcher block counter work area. Toaster and coffeemaker. Cute seating area.
The bathroom features an oversized tub/shower in a generous lay-out.
All of this with an amazing view into the gardens. You can breakfast in bed and gaze out into a magical world of flowers where hummingbirds breakfast too. The whole environment is one of serenity.
Up to two children welcome. Quiet environment, no parties, no loud music
Ursula is a kind and lovely host, she showed us around and respected our privacy when needed. The studio is exactly as pictured and the garden and view of the surroundings hills from inside is spectacular. Kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal minus a microwave. The water level of the river was low when we arrived unfortunately and we did not get a chance to kayak. Highly recommend.
Ursula was fantastic. She made us feel right at home and even cooked for us! The location was great, right on the Russian River, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Right outside our door was a beautiful garden with a swing and table to eat at. We truly enjoyed our stay and had a chance to fully relax. We will definitely come again!!
Ursula was at the unit to welcome me at my arrival, as we had arranged. She is a lovely person, was very welcoming and made sure everything was adequate. She was regularly available without being intrusive. The unit was cozy, clean and well appointed and the setting is lovely. Ursula's garden right out the back door slopes down to the Russian River, where I spent time relaxing and watching birds, fish and the changing light of the sun. This is a quiet and friendly neighborhood. It's a two mile walk to town along Neeley Road, which is busy with not much shoulder but has other pedestrians. I would recommend this place for those visiting the area.
Was a lovely visit. The place is pristine, and right next to the river. The bed was very firm and comfortable. Bring your CDs - excellent stereo next to the bed. Thanks Ursula!
Ursula was amazing! She was there to welcome us and show us around her beautiful studio that was very clean and homey. Her garden had lemons growing on the side and the Russian River was just a few steps past the gate. She had plenty of cooking utensils which we utilized for a romantic home-made dinner. Overall experience was great and very peaceful.
Ursula waited up late to greet us. We had to get through lots of traffic so we arrived around 7:00 pm instead of around 5:00 pm as we hoped and Ursula was there to greet us and welcome us in. I felt grateful! The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. I slept through the entire night- something I don't usually do in new environments. It was a clean and cozy place. We enjoyed our stay.
Not any of my guests guests - 83 reviews - ever mentioned any offensive smell in my place. Different folks notice different things. You slept better than in any other new place before; and apparently it was a fleeting smell. Therefore I could have appreciated if you had voiced your concern privately or told me.
We had a wonderful time at the Ursula's place along the Russian River. Everything was tidy and a big perk was being able to use the outdoor BBQ to grill some steaks and eat a nice dinner outside in her garden. Ursula was very kind and her place was cozy for a group of 3 of us. I'd recommend checking it out, especially in the summer where you can just walk into the river with a canoe or inner tubes with ease.
I came from Germany many years ago and have made my home here in Guerneville for the last 14 years. I have been working as a professor in San Francisco for a long time. - I love my house and surroundings; the beauty of it all is breath taking. Much delights me: Swimming in the river, kayaking. gardening and cooking. - I would like to share this abundance here with my guests.
