The space was lovely and comfortable for my husband and I celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. The garden is peaceful and beautiful to look at first thing when you wake up. The river was very close and perfect to float and kayak. Our host Ursula was very nice and waited up for us to get in a little later after work and explain what we needed to know. She was available to answer questions for us and give recommendations.
Ursula's studio is a little slice of heaven! You are close to downtown Guerneville, and right at the river's edge, but far enough away to feel completely remote.
The soft percussion of wind chimes peacefully accompanies your private view out to her beautiful garden.
Both evenings I planned to go out but ended up taking a glass of wine down to the river until dusk, and then cooking dinner in the studio.
The studio has everything you need and is a mix of artsy, European and exotic treasures picked up on travels abroad.
The bed and overall space is extremely comfortable and the shower water pressure is fantastic!
Ursula is environmentally conscious so make sure that you recycle, and don't expect to see a microwave or wasteful paper products. (Which is exactly the way I like things!!)
You will be very happy you stayed here. I know I am!
Ursula's studio in Guernville is a little piece of heaven. Ursula was welcoming and kind and made sure that I had everything that I needed. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, with easy access to the river. The studio was comfortable and had everything you could want on your vacation. This was the perfect spot to hang out and rejuvenate. Can't wait to visit Ursula's space again soon!
The place is just as Ursula describes and great for a weekend of relaxing on the river.
The hostess showed us the rental when we arrived and gave us tips re. fun places to visit in the area. We greatly enjoyed a conversation with her in the beautiful flower filled garden.
We had a wonderful time at Ursula's the place was quite on the river nice setting and her recomadations on what to do and where to go were outstanding. We had the chance to spend some free time with her in the afternoon and enjoyed that as well....looking forward to a return trip.

About the Host, Ursula
I came from Germany many years ago and have made my home here in Guerneville for the last 14 years. I have been working as a professor in San Francisco for a long time. - I love my house and surroundings; the beauty of it all is breath taking. Much delights me: Swimming in the river, kayaking. gardening and cooking. - I would like to share this abundance here with my guests.
