The FrogS’ House, it’s…
A welcoming place: Benoît and Corinne, a young dynamic couple, have decided to settle down after a 15 month experience of travelling around the world. They chose to go back to Benoit’s native village, the authentic little village of St Jeannet in the south of France. 4 local restaurants, 1 grocery store, 2 bakeries, 1 butcher, all 1mn walking distance from us.
You can explore the area with your own car or use the local buses to go down the coast to visit Nice, Antibes, Cannes or Monaco (from 1/2h to 45mns from us)
Benoit, as a mountain guide, will take you on hiking trips off the beaten track to let you discover the surrounding hills of the « moyen pays » or in the mountains of the beautiful national park of the Mercantour.
Corinne, as a natural and sensitive French chef, will make you discover her fine and inventive cuisine, using fresh products of the season purchased at the local producers.
A guesthouse: The house has 7 bedrooms, 3 of them with a stunning view over the coast and the Mediterranean Sea from their balconies, 3 of them with the view over the village and the surrounding Provencal hills, and 1 "suite bedroom" with a private lounge room. Each of them has their own en-suite bathroom.
You will enjoy the nicest breakfasts on the sunny little terrace, share diner with your hosts on the big table in the kitchen or chill out and relax in the cosy lounge room.
A fabulous region to discover: Saint Jeannet is a quiet village perched over the French Riviera, surrounded by the famous « Baous », the limestone hills, paradise of rock climbers, that offer you a unique view and a real Mediterranean and Provencal atmosphere.
Here the mountains and the hills join the sea, for you to experience all what you could imagine. This is why our “Alpes” in this area are called “Maritimes”!
An original concept: an all inclusive home stay (3 days/3 nights package tour), from transportation to accommodation, meals and obviously activities lead by Corinne and Benoit.
Short walks or longer hikes in the surrounding hills, visit of typical and non touristy French villages, local market and cooking class, without forgetting the unique wine sampling at the local vineyard of St Jeannet, run by the same family from the past 4 generations.
Want to know more about it? Benoît or Corinne will be happy to answer all your questions
We (two couples) stayed at the Frog's House in Saint-Jeannet from 27 August - 1 September 2013. We arrived, and found a lovely note on the door instructing us how to 'check in', as the hosts were out on a hike with other guests. This was all very quick and easy to do.
The rooms were clean, had sufficient space, beautiful views, and the shared kitchen space is great. Breakfast was included and was arguably the best we had during our 6 weeks in Europe (homemade jams and yoghurt, cheese, bread, muesli, fruit).
However, the best part about the Frog's House is the hosts (Benoit and Corrine) and their team of friends (Marco and others). The atmosphere they've created at the Frog's House truly made us feel like we were visiting old friends rather than just staying at a B&B. If we needed anything (e.g. additional towels), all we had to do was ask, and we were promptly helped. They gave us many good recommendations in terms of places to visit and eat (including helping us make reservations - Clovis Restaurant is a must!). We also did a hike to the waterfalls and white water rafting - all lots of fun.
Saint-Jeannet is a beautiful, authentic village about 40 minutes drive from Nice, with views of the mountain and the coast, and also has some great places to eat. We found that it was a great base for us to explore the region including day trips to Cannes, Antibes, Nice, and Monaco.
We would highly recommend the Frog's House to everyone!
Thanks a million Jaime !!! we hope you guys are all well and happy, and that getting back to work wasn't too hard after your trip. Let us know when you decide to start a B&B in fidji or on the samoa's island !
Take care you all, it was a real pleasure sharing those moments with you
Benoit et Corinne
We absolutely enjoyed staying at The Frog's House in St. Jeannet during our stay in the French Riviera! Benoit and Corrine are fantastic hosts and the B&B is a great place to stay to enjoy the beautiful French Riviera. The breakfast which is also provided every morning is great from local cheeses to homemade marmelades as well as freshly baked bread it was such as nice way to start the day. We highly recommend staying at The Frog's House B&B to the AirBnb community!!
Benoit provided a comfortable and charming place for us to stay in St Jeanett. He was most helpful with every aspect of our stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the breakfast outside on the terrace was (website hidden) Jeanett itself was a gem. I wish that we would have been able to stay for more than out two nights.
the house and the village are really lovely. unfortunately we were only staying 1 night and i was sick and we needed to check out the day after. but corinne tried everything to help.
they are a really nice and charming couple and I would definitely recommend them to all my friends.
This was the first day of our trip from Nice to Barcelona. Town of Saint Jeannet was fantastic. It was quiet, beautiful, small town in the mountains with stunning views of the French Riviera. We are staying overnight in B & B small village French Riviera and we were excited about it. Thanks Benoit and Corrine for their hospitality and delicious breakfast. We definitely want to return.
This village was the best in this my Frence trip.
In the every morning we had breakfast with homemade jam, yogurt, cheese, juice...
They were specially delicious and very very good.
And the visible from the terrace was also the highest.
I recommend the terrace room.
We had a lovely stay at The Frog 's House. We would recommend one of the upstairs rooms with balcony. The village was charming and Benoit was really engaging and his passion for what he is doing shines through. The breakfast was generous and delicious!
My 11-year-old son and I just left The Frogs' House after a four night stay. It was so much fun and a highlight of our month-long summer trip through Italy and France.
Benoit and Corinne could not have been more welcoming, helpful and fun. I brought back some of Corinne's delicious strawberry jam to California. As someone whose daily breakfast consists of toast and jam, I can attest that it's the best I've ever had!
In advance, I booked two outings with Benoit and they were both wonderful times which made our stay even more special. Also, we took advantage of the transfer service offered by Benoit and it worked out perfectly when Benoit was there to pick us up at the train station and drop us off at Nice Airport.
Corinne's breakfasts started our days in the best way possible, with delicious bread, jam, butter, juice and coffee. They even had Nutella for my son! To add to the food (served outside on the terrace), we met some of the nicest people who were also staying here.
In the evenings, we walked to two local restaurants and each time had a lovely dinner. Sitting outside was very pleasant and the staff of the restaurants seemed to be extra nice to us due to the fact that we were staying with Benoit and Corinne at The Frogs' House!
The rooms are very comfortable and medium-sized. We had a room with the balcony (Philomene, I think?) . The showers worked well and everything was clean and nice.
My son used the computer downstairs. I borrowed a book to read. I sometimes took a piece of fruit from the kitchen. The kitchen is huge and seems to be a welcoming central zone when either Corinne or Benoit are around.
We loved St. Jeannet, the village. It was our first time here and we hope to return. Everyone we encountered here was friendly and kind.
I don't think there are two nicer people in the world than Benoit and Corinne. Their inn reflects their interest in people, food and nature. In the hospitality business, they are actually super-hospitable.
I recommend staying here, but I highly recommend your taking advantage of the day trips organized and led by Benoit. He is so knowledgeable, intelligent and fun that such times might result in your best holiday memories. This was so for us. Thank you, Benoit and Corrine!
This is a truly wonderful place to stay. We were made to feel very welcome and at home. Our hosts provided us with plenty of instructions and arranged for us to be accommodated easily being a family of 4.
The rooms were very clean and tidy and the amenities were fabulous.
The home prepared breakfast was served in a common court yard area, which provided a homely and friendly atmosphere to enjoy the view and magic of St Jeannett.
