The apartment was really comfortable, it was wonderful to spend some days there with my family. We did not meet Rouven but Yeny was so kind and gave us all the info we need about the city.
The location wasn't ideal but only a 5 minute walk to nearest station (Wedding) which had great links to all areas - day or night. Berlin is an amazing place and certainly not the last time we visit.
Apartment was great with no issues. Reasonably priced and our host gave is a suggested itinerary which proved very useful - a very accommodating guy who agreed to greet us even when our flight was much later than anticipated!
Nice and quiet place for staying in Berlin, well connected with the main metro lines.
The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped with all the necessary stuff to cook. Moreover, Rouven is a really kind and gentle host.
We really enjoyed our staying!
Great stay at Rouven's apartment.
Clean, Cousy, Spacious, well furnished. Everything
U need is there. Excellent wifi.
Location is several minutes walk from Metro and
Bus station. Location is not central but by public transport everything is easily reached.
Rouven is a great host - gladly helps and answers
The apartment is big, spacious and clean. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and eat. The location is also walking distance to subway stations, grocery stores and restaurants. Many thanks to Yeni for waiting for us patiently as our flight was delayed and we arrived late. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Berlin!
Rouven was helpful, and quick to respond all our questions.
The apartment was nice and clean.
But it is on the first flor and the noise level was high on the street.
Good location if you use bikes.
We chose the apartment for a weekend because it was very close to the location where friends celebrated their wedding.
Otherwise the district Wedding is not the most beautiful or touristic area.
The apartment is like on the photos, in walking distance to the metro station S/U Wedding. Communication with Rouven and his partner Yeni was very easy, quick and friendly.
The apartment is on the ground floor, the living/sleeping room faces the street, but it is quiet in the night (during the day there is some air plane noise due to the close airport Berlin-Tegel (no flights between 11pm and 6 am). Nice raindrop shower, a curtain would be a treat, though...
In total, it was a good pick for what we needed.
We were in Berlin for a week this summer and booked two places on airbnb. The first place we booked wasn't available for the whole week so we took advantage of making another booking so we could explore another neighbourhood during our holiday.
Rouven's partner was lovely, she met us and gave us some great tips for the nieghbourhood: who knew there was a park with a public swimming pool so near? We took ourselves along one hot afternoon...it even comes with a pretty fun water slide if you don't mind lining up with the local kids to have a go!
While Wedding may not be the most hip and happening part of Berlin we made full use of the two bikes that came with the apartment to do lots of exploring. We rode to Prenzlauer Berg for shopping and nice cafes. One day we rode across to the Charlottenburg and toured the palace and had a picnic in the beautiful Schlosspark gardens, then followed the canal all the way along to Tiergarten and continued up to Mauerpark (we went on Sunday to check out the markets and famous bear-pit karaoake). That was a really good day!
We were very glad to have the use of the washing machine during our stay (we had to buy laundry liquid as there was none when we arrived so I trust the next guests appreciate that) and the only thing I'd mention to be wary of is that the bathroom can get very wet when showering and be careful when emptying the bathtub as the drain can sometimes overflow!
We had to leave super early to catch our flight on the day we left and the location was great because it was so near the airport, I think the cab fare was about 14Euro from memory.
Overall, a good stay in a clean, roomy apartment and the bikes were a real bonus!
Rouven was a great host. He was very accommodating and responded very quickly to emails and questions we had. He helped us with out with directions and advice on how to get around. The apartment was very clean and located very close to the subway system and to major city sites. It had everything we needed and was as promised. Really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay again.
