The FrogS’ House, it’s…
A welcoming place: Benoît and Corinne, a young dynamic couple, have decided to settle down after a 15 month experience of travelling around the world. They chose to go back to Benoit’s native village, the authentic little village of St Jeannet in the south of France. 4 local restaurants, 1 grocery store, 2 bakeries, 1 butcher, all 1mn walking distance from us.
You can explore the area with your own car or use the local buses to go down the coast to visit Nice, Antibes, Cannes or Monaco (from 1/2h to 45mns from us)
Benoit, as a mountain guide, will take you on hiking trips off the beaten track to let you discover the surrounding hills of the « moyen pays » or in the mountains of the beautiful national park of the Mercantour.
Corinne, as a natural and sensitive French chef, will make you discover her fine and inventive cuisine, using fresh products of the season purchased at the local producers.
A guesthouse: The house has 7 bedrooms, 3 of them with a stunning view over the coast and the Mediterranean Sea from their balconies, 3 of them with the view over the village and the surrounding Provencal hills, and 1 "suite bedroom" with a private lounge room. Each of them has their own en-suite bathroom.
You will enjoy the nicest breakfasts on the sunny little terrace, share diner with your hosts on the big table in the kitchen or chill out and relax in the cosy lounge room.
A fabulous region to discover: Saint Jeannet is a quiet village perched over the French Riviera, surrounded by the famous « Baous », the limestone hills, paradise of rock climbers, that offer you a unique view and a real Mediterranean and Provencal atmosphere.
Here the mountains and the hills join the sea, for you to experience all what you could imagine. This is why our “Alpes” in this area are called “Maritimes”!
An original concept: an all inclusive home stay (3 days/3 nights package tour), from transportation to accommodation, meals and obviously activities lead by Corinne and Benoit.
Short walks or longer hikes in the surrounding hills, visit of typical and non touristy French villages, local market and cooking class, without forgetting the unique wine sampling at the local vineyard of St Jeannet, run by the same family from the past 4 generations.
Want to know more about it? Benoît or Corinne will be happy to answer all your questions

Interaction with Guests
every day at breakfasts to give advices about what to see and do around here according to our guests wishes and tastes
Saint Jeannet is a charming and typical french medieval village, perched at the foot of the mediterranean hills called « Baou ». Only 15kms away from Nice côte d’azur and the French Riviera, but so much more quiet and relaxing. Its position at 450m of altitude offers a great view on the coast and a moderate temperature in the middle of the summer.
Car, taxi, local buses.
We can organise transfers between Saint Jeannet and Nice International Airport
1. At what time can I check in?
We do our best for the rooms to be ready by 2pm. If you want to arrive earlier, you will be very welcome to settle in if the room is already ready. If not, we can alsokeep your luggages in our lounge room until the room is finished.
2. Is there always someone at the « reception?
We ask you to give us an idea about your time of arrival (morning, lunch time, early or mid afternoon, late afternoon, evening or late arrival) so we can get organised to welcome you as best as we can.
However, when we go an a tour with some of our guests, we leave a note on the door with your name on it : we give you the code to the house and give you clear directions to find your room. In this way, no one is stuck outside, waiting for our return. This is our procedure when we must leave the auberge.
3. Do you have a 24h reception service?
We use the same system mentioned above, so you can arrive at any time during the night too.
4. At what time do I have to check out?
We appreciate your leaving the room by 11h30. We can also keep your luggage in our lounge room if you need.
5. Where can I have diner ? do you propose half board stay?
There are 4 restaurants in the village, all 2mns walking distance from the house. We also organise « table d’hôte », for groups and on reservation.
6. Where can I park my car? Is it free? Is it safe?
We don’t have a private car park, but the public car parks are all very safe : this is where most of the habitants of saint Jeannet park their own cars, and so do we They are all free of charge, and 5mns from us at the entrance of the village. See the menu « access » for more details.
7. How can I do if I have lots and/or heavy luggage?
You can drive up in front of the Auberge to drop everything and then GO BACK to the car park to leave your car: DO NOT KEEP DRIVING DOWN THE « RUE DU SAUMALIER » below the house: VERY NARROW STREET!
A new parking place has been built just 20m away from the Frogs House. It is limited to 1h30 though, when the main one at the entrance is unlimited and completely free.
8. Are the rooms equipped with TV?
We removed the TV from the bedrooms, to guarantee you a comfortable sleep A flat screen Tv is available in the lounge room, and in the private lounge room of the « Suite ».
9. Do you have air conditionning?
The Frogs house has not been equipped with air conditionning, mainly for 2 reasons :
First because we don’t need it in Saint Jeannet : the geographical situation (450m high, close the hills) gives us very comfortable temperatures, even in the middle of August.
Secondly, because air conditionning doesn’t suit the sustainable practises that we are attached to.
