Interaction with Guests
We generally meet guests in the apartment to give them the keys, so there is also the opportunity to provide them with information about the operation of the house, as well as about the neighborhood. There is a Guide-book in the house with information about the area and its sightseeings and a local map with the points of interest, but we also make a little tour with our guests, if they like, to the center of the town to show them the area and give them more information about shops, restaurants, etc. As there is another apartment on the same floor that we use for our vacations and weekends, there is the opportunity to meet them again, if they like, and to respond to any possible problem.
The neighbourhood is at the outskirts of the town and not crowdy. In a short walking distance there are restaurants, bars and beach bars with umbrellas, during summer. The town centre is one kilometre away and includes shops, bakery, pharmacy, bank, many bars, cafés, restaurants and a lot of night life.
The location of the apartment is very advantageous as, using it as a base-point you can visit almost all Peloponnese with one-day trips. And there are great places to see in Peloponnese: Beautiful cities and villages, nice sea-sides and impressive mountains, medieval castles, and famous archaeological sites such Mycenae, Epidaurus, Ancient Corinth and Nemea, Olympia, Sparta, Pylos and others. The place is half an hour away from Nafplion and Argos, 45 min from Tripolis and Mycenae, one and half an hour away from Sparta, about two hours from Olympia, etc.
During summer, there are daily cruises to Spetses and Hydra islands as well as a bus trip with return, to Epidaurus where you can watch an evening performance in the ancient theatre.
If you visit the apartment during winter, you can even go for skiing to Maenalon Ski center (from December to March) or just drink your coffee viewing the snowy slopes, at a distance of 30 km from Tripolis.
It is better to use a car to access the apartment, as it will be necessary for visiting the area and make short or long trips to Peloponnese. But the apartment is also accessible easily by bus from Athens. There is a bus stop (named “Glyfada”) almost opposite to the building to Athens and Argos. We will provide you with all necessary directions to reach the house, regardless of the way you will come.
If you come by car, there is an open parking place that you can use. (No 4)
The access directly from the Airport is easy using “Attiki odos” and then the motorways to Corinth and Tripolis. The distance from the airport to the house is 197 km and the time you need is two hours and 15 min. From the total route, 152 km are in a motorway.

Fani and George were gracious hosts they waited for our arrival and showed us around the apartment they even provided us with beach towels.
The apartment has a magnificent view from the balcony and the apartment is an ideal respite for those seeking a peaceful retreat.
The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to have breakfast before we hit the road for sightseeing.
I highly recommend this listing to anyone looking for a slice of paradise! I was looking for quiet, someplace to find inspiration, I found it in Paralio Astros.
This tiny sunbathed village in Peloponnese is like being transported back in time. The combination of stone paved streets along side modern roads, a new house tucked below an ancient castle. It's stunning to say the least, when the ocean lulls you to sleep every night.
Matching this picturesque scene are some of the friendliest, most welcoming people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Fani and George not only welcomed me into their wonderful apartment that I rented, but more importantly into their lives. Their maps and directions from Athens made the drive (I highly recommend driving) to Paralio Astros an amazing experience in of itself. The two greeted me upon my arrival and wasted no time in showing me the wonderful space I would spend the next month.
The apartment was the perfect size for two people, but could accommodate more. While it has all of the modern amenities one needs, It's most rewarding feature Is the balcony which looks out to the sea, which is right across the road!
Fani and George showed me around the town, which is a quick car ride or nice walk away, introducing me to store and restaurant owners, showing me the markets and bars. They even took my girlfriend and myself out for a drink. Enough cannot be said about these two lovely people. This is a truly wonderful place, and I again would recommend this listing to anyone who enjoys being truly happy.
We had a great time staying at the apartment in Paralio Astros.
Fani & George could not have been more welcoming both in the communication in advance of our arrival and when we arrived at the apartment.
The apartment description online was very accurate. It was spotlessly clean and was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay.
The location is great for the sandy beach and is only a 15 minute walk to the main town center of Paralio Astros with its numerous bars and restaurants.
I would highly recommend this apartment to anybody looking to visit this area of Greece.
Fani and George made us very welcome. The unit is basically brand new and set up well for renters. There were lots of small but lovely and welcome touches like home made jam and local olive oil. Paralio Astros has a lovely setting with good restaurants, fresh fish, terrific public beach a few yards down the road. Nafplio and many other historic places are easily reached and well worth a visit. We had a wonderful time.
George and Fani were hugely welcoming but non-intrusive hosts, even including us in their Greek Easter celebrations, and giving us much advice about accessing sites on the Peloponnese. The apartment was spotless and modern, and is very light and airy and spacious and very well-equipped, with a huge balcony. It is sufficiently close to the sea to hear the lapping of the waves at night. It's on the edge of Paralio Astros which is a pretty township sitting on a headland with a castle and which is very well-resourced, with quite a number of tavernas and cafes along its beach frontage. It was easy to source fresh local produce, vegetables and fish in particular, to cook at the apartment. Paralio Astros was also a good base from which to explore the Peloponnese. We hugely enjoyed our time there.
Staying at Fani and Georges was very peaceful with a beautiful view of the sunrise over the sea. They were most gracious hosts, taking us to show us one of their favorite tavernas in town and offering to show us around the area the next day if we wished.

Like traveling and knowing other places, especially with car.
Interesting in knowing people from other countries. We have two listings, one in Athens centre and another in Astros - Peloponnese, by the sea and we try our guests to be as comfortable as we would also like to be when traveling. So, we are happy as all our guests are satisfied till now.
