Welcome to my second home in the wonderful city of Prague! Airy and full of light, this two-room apartment is on the 3rd floor of a charming renovated 1930s building in a quiet street of an interesting neighbourhood with lots of little bars, cafes and restaurants.Tthe flat and its balcony overlook a park, a little-known old Jewish cemetery and the famous Prague TV tower with its “climbing babies” by David Cerny. the enfant-terrible of the Czech art scene. This also means you can't get lost because the tower is a major landmark!
The flat is ideal for two people, or couple with a child or teenager. It is fully furnished and equipped: TV and DVD/DC player, broadband wi-fi, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher. The bedroom + study has a large window, double bed with an excellent mattress, fan, arm chair with a foot rest and reading light; there is a large desk with another lamp and office chair. A third lamp stands next to the bed, so you can read comfortably anywhere.
There is a couch-bed in the open-plan living room + kitchen which you can use as a sofa to read (another lamp here!), watch TV or just lounge after a hard day of sightseeing. The kitchen has a large fridge and all the equipment you may need: juicer, coffee machine, toaster.
Off the hall is the bathroom with a full-size bath tub and shower. The toilet (WC) is separate. The hall has a walk-in storage space and a wardrobe, plus full-length mirror.. Heating and hot water are provided by a combined boiler located in the bathroom,
The flat is in a great location, on a quiet street close to city centre but without the tourist hype and crowds, in an interesting historic neighbourhood with lots of green, parks, and great amenities - friendly grocery across the street sells freshly baked bread, fruit and vegetables and much more. You can step round the corner to have a breakfast in a local cafe, in the evening you can enjoy bars and restaurants for all tastes - from classic Czech cooking to Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and Pakistani. A small Baroque concert hall is just across the street and there is a large shopping centre with a 5-screen cinema, a gym and other facilities within a 5-minute walk.
Good transport connections - take the Metro / tram for a couple of stops or walk to centre. Easy access to airport by public transport, two tram stops from main train station.
Available for short breaks. Longer-term lets for one person or couple negotiable. Airport pick-up can be arranged for an extra fee. Cleaning at an extra fee available for bookings over 3 nights.
I am a long-distance but very reliable host, working in the field of books and literature, and the flat has hosted a number of writers over the years. I travel a lot myself but will make sure that you have all the information and support you need to thoroughly enjoy your stay in Prague in this unique apartment where you will feel at home away from home.

We had a wonderful stay in Alexandra's apartment during our recent trip to Prague! The apartment is lovely, very clean, quite spacious for two people, and it is in a great location. It was nice to stay in more of a "real" neighborhood than the noisy and touristy Old Town. There are a number of good restaurants, bars and pubs nearby, and while public transport is also close by, we chose to walk everywhere and found it quite easy to get around. Alexandra is very friendly and quick to respond to emails, and we also had the pleasure of meeting her on the morning of our departure.
Alexandra's apartment is a great opportunity to get out of the touristy part of Prague and experience a more residential neighborhood. But still very easy to get to all the sights on public transport. Alexandra was a great host - very responsive and her restaurant recommendations were excellent.
Alexandra appartement is really Nice and cosy . We liked the location, in the real live of Praga. Very good access to métro/tram or even by foot to the center.
Alexandra was really helpfull and always very Quick to give us answer . I Will definitelly return Praga and try to book with Alexandra.
Alexandra was a great Host and the apartment turned out to be well located, well organized and well stocked. When we locked our keys inside (my fault) our adventure was enhanced by another good story and her help. The bed was extremely comfortable; the apartment had wonderful light from the big windows. The view from the balcony of the TV Tower with the large baby sculptures was spectacular and unique. We found the neighborhood to be a delight having cafes, markets, and even a large outdoor farmer's market once a week. With the nearby subway and trams and even a good walk we were able to enjoy our visit in Prague.
Alexandra was always very helpful and she will always reply quickly to any questions you may have. The apartment was great. Everything was clean and neat and she provided us with everything we needed to make our stay more comfortable. We really liked the the neighborhood too. It has easy access to all forms of public transportation, and it is not far at all from the city center; we even walked there with our 2 year old daughter. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our experience and we can definitely recommend it to anyone.
Alexandra have a very nice apartment in a quiet neighborhood not far from Prague 1. The subway and trams were within very easy reach. There is even a station "city tour" in the next street.
The apartment is very well equipped. You have to put your luggage to feel you at home.
Alexandra leaves a lot of documentation to facilitate your tour of the city. The fact that she wasn't present to greet us wasn't a problem.
We had a good stay in Prague.
We had a great stay at Alexandras place. She was very easy to communicate with, answered all our email questions immediately and made it easy for us to get the keys to the flat, since she wasn't there to give them to us. The appartment is really nice, perfect for a couple. It's in a nice neighbourhood, there are alot of good resturants and it's easy to get into the centre, only a few minutes with the tram. Alexandra also called us a cab and made sure got to the airport in time. Overall we had a very good stay, it was raining a lot in Prague, so we were lucky to have such a good place to stay at.
Alexandra's apartment is a great place to stay in Prague! Nice, quiet neighbourhood, good connections to downtown and everything you need in the flat. Alexandra is in fact a very relient host, she provided us with helpful imformation ... everything was as described. We enjoyed our stay there very much and recommend this apartment highly!
Our stay at Alexandra's apartment was great! Very conveniently located. While we didn't meet Alexandra in person, she was very friendly, informative and quick to respond over email. I would recommend others to stay here for a great experience of 'local Prague', a great escape from the busy tourist area but close enough to still experience it all!
We had a great time at alexandra's apartment! great bathtub and kitchen with everything you need. Enough towels and a really comfortable bed. Alexandra made some great recommendations about the area. The only lesser thing was the fact that the subway is a little far about 10 minutes walking distance.
Other than that we can definitely recommend staying in this apartment if you want your stay in Prague to be a succes!
