This is a great apartment but best of all it is in a great location. SOHO, Union Sq, East and West Village all walking distance and subway lines are close if you want to scoot uptown. This building was once the The Fifth Avenue New York Hotel, so the lobby is all 1940's restored glam. Felt secure and loved the 24 hour access to a doorman. Christine was a pleasure to communicate with and she met us at the apt when we arrived to give us the low down. Look forward to staying there again when next in NYC.
Spacious apartment located at the very hart of the city, with everything, from tourist attractions to restaurants, etc, within walking reach. The place has aeverything you can expect to make your stay unforgetable. Even you can use the TV with Netflix and Apple TV so, even if you do not want to wander about the city, you can spend a great evening watching your favourite movie or program. The kitchen is loaded with all the machines and system possible, and cooking is so nice using the vitro hob you won't ever want to have breakfast outside. The bed was really confortable and spacious, so me and my wife could sllep real nice, even though we are almost 6 feet tall. The apartment has two big windows, one in the dormitory and the other in the living room that let a lot of light in to the apartment, even though it is overlooking a small townhouse garden. What, I must say, made us love the place most of all was the stounding rainshower space: it was really great to enjoy a nive shower after a hard walking day across the city. The building has a loby that features a convenience store in it, so you do not have to go outside if you need some general items real quick. We really did find nothing to complain about at all. Even Christine was kind enough to wait for us to arrive at the apartment, even though our plane was delayed more than 1 and a half hours. She had also printed us some paper sheets with instructions and directions to make our stay as much confortable as possible.
Just returned from 4 nights in Christine's lovely apartment. Essentially the pictures and descriptions don't lie: the apartment is spacious, light and airy with lovely artwork and furnishings. It was also spotlessly clean when I arrived. The bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. One of the things that struck me most was the peace and quiet - it was hard to believe that I was staying on 5th Avenue. The bathroom is also lovely with a great shower. Would definitely want to come and stay here again next time in NYC - space, comfort, great shops and restaurants, and a top location.
Excellent location, very clean and comfortable apartment. Hosts are easy and straightforward to work with. This apartment has a really nice vibe with very thoughtful furnishings and a beautiful view of a terraced garden. I really liked that this location was easily accessible by foot from west and east villages and SoHo. Great coffee shops such as Why Not and Joe within walking distance.
I had already booked a stay at another place when a friend decided to join me on this trip. Christine was quick to suggest this larger 1 bedroom apartment as an alternative and I'm glad she did. Her place was clean, cozy and had all the comforts of home. Since I usually stay somewhere in the Lower East Side, this area was surprisingly quiet for NYC (which was a nice change!) with everything close by from markets, to food, to transportation. I definitely will keep this place in mind for my next trip to NYC. Thanks Christine!
This apartment is exactly as described and pictured. It was comfortable and well equipped and perfectly located. Christine was a responsive host and we look forward to another visit.
We spent two weeks in this apartment. It exceeded our expectations!
Christine provided excellent tips for shopping and dining in the neighborhood. The apartment is quiet and comfortably furnished.
The doormen were always friendly. The shower is an awesome rainshower.
We could walk four blocks in either direction and either take the east side subways or the westside subways. A bus stops right in front of the building.
There are hundreds of wonderful restaurants within a few blocks.
There are always lots of people on the street so it feels very safe night and day.
I loved this place so much I almost didn't leave!!! The location is incredible, the apartment itself exactly as described & Christine so welcoming. We arrived earlier that scheduled and met Christine who was so sweet and went out of her way to accommodate us. The shower was insanely good especially after a night out in the city that never sleeps!! Doorman in the building makes you feel safe & the area itself is my fav part of NYC. So many great places nearby. We will definitely be back and would love to stay here again!
This apartment is exactly as described and Christine is very responsive. Having lived in NYC for four years and visited many apartments in the city, I hope others can appreciate how special Christine's apartment really is. Real estate is all about location and Christine's Greenwich Village location, just above Washington Square Park absolutely cannot be beat. One of the few locations in the city with easy access to everything, coupled with the relative solitude of the streets surrounding the park. Add to this that the apartment looks out on a small, private interior courtyard, which makes for a relaxing reprieve after a day of touring the city. The layout and decor of the apartment is fantastic - serenity in form and function. The main room can easily accommodate a small gathering and the kitchen is really well appointed. Bedroom is good sized and the bathroom is modern, fully functioning. Customized lighting and minimalist design make the space feel large. Truly remarkable for a pre-war apartment in Greenwich Village. The doormen in the lobby are accommodating and there are plenty of grocery, restaurant and transportation options within a minute's walk. Christine was very responsive to the few inquiries we had and the apartment was impeccably clean with plenty of supplies so you can clean after yourself as you go. We stayed for a week and left wondering how quickly we could return.
