Interaction with Guests
We are welcoming hosts, a happy midlife couple living in this apartment. We speak English, French, Dutch, Slovenian, Serbo-Croatian, and basic German. We are keen to welcome & accommodate one person or a couple as much as possible, as well as a family or group of friends renting more rooms. Welcome to Brussels!
Birds aren't singing, cows don't moo, and one cannot expect a dead silence in our downtown neighbourhood at any given time of day. Although, I love one doesn't need a car or use a public transport to get around and to stroll this vibrant, to many unexpectedly tiny, Brussels.
It is well located for public transport, with railway station Brussels-North (Gare du Nord) and metro station Rogier just few minutes walk away.

Aida and Berry are great hosts and they have a beautiful apartment!
They let us checkin earlier than the listed time and really made us feel warm and welcome. This was our first time in Brussels and they helped us with maps and detailed suggestions.
The apartment is very well equipped and stocked with pretty much anything you can imagine. Its also quite well accessible. The building itself is a bit old, but the apartment is newly renovated and fantastic.
Even though we dint spend too much time inside, we really enjoyed our stay an had a great time! Thank you Aida and Berry!
PS: Thank you for suggesting the Sunday market! We loved the Moroccan food! :) :)
Very welcoming host. Invited me with a drink and lots of info about Brussels. Clean comfi room, comfi living. Great selection of tea and coffee. Clean bathroom.
Location, for me very convenient to the station and the conference buildings. But also close to red light district.
Aida and Barry were truly exceptional hosts who made us feel completely at home. The time we spend chatting with them may have been the best time we spent in Brussels. They gave us some great recommendations for waffles and dinner too. Their apartment is in a great location right next to the North train station and offers great views of the sunrise over Brussels. Absolutely recommended.

About the Host, Aida
I like challenges and diversity, but most of all, human unpredictability and spontaneity. I love people, and enjoy the company of those who don't easily plunge into disappointment, past or daze, but are willing to explore, learn, and share.
Nearest groceries store, just across the street • Open: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. • Closed on Sundays
This long & famous Moroccan-Turkish shopping street is just around the corner. Shops are open mostly from 10 a.m. 6:30 p.m. (majority closed on Mondays). Some "kebab" restaurants are open 24/7.
Railway, tram & bus station closest to us
Nearest shopping mall (250 m; at the beginning of RUE NEUVE, the main shopping street in Brussels)
You're in the Comic Strip Capital of the World!!!
Less known peeing statue... ;-)
This station is 1,5 km from our building. I'd recommend a nice stroll (15 min) or a short taxi ride.
Main Brussels' square GRAND PLACE is literally in the middle of the city - 1,4 km from our building. Strolling there it usually takes you 15 min.... or more, down city's main shopping street RUE NEUVE
Zinneke (dog) is the latest addition to the family of peeing statues in Brussels. Zinneke in Brussels dialect means someone of mixed origins, symbolizing the mixture of populations living in Brussels.
Literally: Little Man Pee
Since its opening in 2000, the MIM has become a first class cultural attraction on the Mont des Arts.
Dedicated to the work of the Belgian surrealist artist, René Magritte
From Gare du Midi station, there are only 6 stops with underground tram 3, 4 or 31 to reach Gare du Nord and our building. All together it shouldn't take you more than 25 minutes.
