Enjoy being surrounded by the countryside but close to everything at this remodeled 1950's farmhouse. We are 2.4 miles to Doe Mountain Recreation Area, ride your ATV from here to there, 15 miles to Watauga Lake, 18.7 miles to Virginia Creeper Trail, 28 miles to Boone, NC. Float the SoHo or Watauga without dealing with Boone. ATV/RV/Boat parking.

Enough room for the whole family. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen, three bedrooms, large living room, bonus room (with pull out futon) and giant yard.

The space
This 1950's farmhouse is not like your grandma's, but it still has the same warmth and charm! This home has been fully renovated. There is a covered front porch with a swing and rocking chair just begging you to 'sit a spell' and listen to the creek in the front yard. Upon entering the house you'll find a large living room featuring an an antique mantel with an electric insert. Plenty of seating for the whole family, record player and some records, high speed internet and a smart TV.

The kitchen is practically brand new but still has that farmhouse kitchen feel to it. Its fully stocked with pots, pans, mixing bowls, bakeware, oils, spices, foil, zip locks, anything you may need to make a meal. Coffee is important to us, so we have you covered - a Keurig K-Duo Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker, filters, cream, sugar, tea kettle, coffee grinder and milk frother can meet your java needs; as well as a french press if that's your thing. A long kitchen table with 6 chairs adorns the kitchen with plenty of space for the whole family.

There are three bedrooms. One has a king size bed with a brand new Nectar mattress. There is also a room with a queen bed and one that has a full size bed. There is a bonus space with a round table and a couple chairs for a work station or puzzle time. In the same bonus space is a futon that pulls out to the size of a full size mattress for additional sleeping arrangements.

The bathroom is equipped with fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hair dryer. The shower is a tub shower combo.

At the back entrance to the farmhouse is a sort of mud room with a full size washer and dryer.

The farmhouse is surrounded by 9 acres of pasture. In the mornings, if your lucky you can see the deer meandering through the field.
The backyard is perfect for starwatching at night.

We allow 1-2 house trained, well behaved pups with advance notice and prior approval. Please clean up dog waste. There is an additional $50 pet fee per pet. Pets not allowed to be left unattended. No cats allowed.

Guest access
You will have access to the house but please don't go in the barns behind the house.
