Each unit can accomodate 4 guests upon request and pre booking. Each unit has a private bedroom, sitting room and full bathroom. We are very clean and very comfortable with central air conditioning during the Shuswap heat.
Our continental breakfasts are comprised of homemade cinnamon buns, muffins and other goodies as well as several different fruits - some from our own trees, You are welcome to try the cherries on our trees, peas in the gardens etc when they are in season, Guests enjoy breakfast at our tables beside the fish pond.
We have a business licence and fire and smoke alarms for every room. Your comfort and safety are very important to us so please let us know if you need anything.
Please note that in the pricing children under 16 are free. Let me know if you need extra beds for children. I will make every effort to accommodate your needs.
Guests have free access to the yard and all tables and chairs. There is a microwave, toaster, iron, and ironing board in the hallway for guest use.
Interaction with Guests
I only interact with guests at their request. I am always available but like to give my guests privacy. I am very happy to spend time with guests and teach about the garden and First Nations culture if the guests request this.
I think the best thing about the location of the house is that it is located on the edge of a green space with a hiking trail right beside the yard. It is not unusual to see deer, raccoon and other animals wandering in the yard if you are an early riser. The resident pheasant likes to make himself heard in mating season. He tends to strut around the yard as if he owns the place and it is not unusual to witness a territory discussion between he and younger males.
The local bus stops about 1 block away but the trail is an easy walk downtown if you are a walker. I am happy to pick guests up at the bus if necessary.
Other Things to Note
We have done a small wedding in the yard as well as a conference hosting 17 participants.
Your host is a registered Cranio Sacral Thereapist so you may book in advance for Cranio Sacral Therapy or relaxation massage therapy
Respect for others. Check in before 9 pm.
Renae was very accommodating, helpful and available. She left a lovely breakfast for us in the morning and was flexible on our check-in and check-out time.
Renae was very quick to respond and was flexible in the check-in time. She was very friendly, the room was clean, quiet and secluded for privacy. The only downside was a few encounters with spiders and that the breakfast was very basic and not the freshest but perhaps that was due to a late check-in. Overall we did enjoy our stay at Renaes' and would recommend it.
Thanks Renee, everything was nice & clean & I would recommend it & will stay again soon!
This B&B is within easy reach and Renae and her dog gave us a warm welcome. We got a nice breakfast!
Renae is very nice and welcoming, the room was clean, tidy and comfertable, and the breakfast was awsome!
Thank you renae!
We needed to check in late and leave pretty early - this was a mid-point stop over on a long drive from alberta to the coast. Renae was nice, welcomed us at 9pm, and breakfast was there waiting for us first thing in the AM.
Great for night on the way to Calgary. Comfortable 2 bed unit with clean bedding and clean bathroom. Lovely, large yard with frog pond, flowers and trees for sun and shade in a quiet area. Great breakfast with cereal, assorted breads and pastries, hot coffee, fresh raspberries, blueberries, peaches and selection of homemade jams. Very welcoming and interesting hostess.
I am originally from Vancouver but have lived and worked all across Canada. My background is First Nations and my culture and history are an important part of my life. Now i spend my time running my B&B and working in my garden.
