The Space

Our three bedroom, two and 1/2 bath home is located in sunny Noe Valley. The house is on a hilltop between Noe Valley and the Castro, with souther views from Twin Peaks to the Bay. You'll be within easy walking distance of all the great shops, restaurants and bars on 24th Street, and Noe Valley has some of the sunniest weather in San Francisco.

The house is a fully renovated Craftsman. The living room, dining room, half bath and eat-in kitchen are on the first level. The living room has a gas fireplace and huge window seat great for lounging and reading your favorite book. The home entertainment system includes  a high end stereo and wired speakers in the living room, kitchen and the deck, AppleTV, XBox360 and Playstation 3, and very fast Comcast WiFi.

The dining room has a cherry table that seats six, huge windows off the dining room offer views of Noe Valley to the south.

The kitchen has a 48" Subzero refrigerator, 48" 6 burner, double oven Wolf Range, Bosch dishwasher and two sinks with granite countertops and back splashes. The beautiful deck off the kitchen gives great views of Noe Valley, Twin Peaks, the bay, and backyard garden.  There is a lower private deck at the garage level with views of the enormous backyard and outdoor garden.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed, gas fireplace, French doors overlooking Noe Valley to the south, and a great bathroom with a glass shower with slate tiles and a jacuzzi bathtub. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, the third bedroom has a full size bed. These bedrooms share a full bath across the hall. The upstairs laundry room equipped with a full size washer and dryer.

On street parking is readily available without the need for a residential permit, and there are no parking meters.

  • Let me start by saying, if you are coming to San Francisco, stay in this house! You will not be disappointed. The house has tons of character, is stocked with pretty much everything you need, and has views to die for. We could never get enough of those views. It was so enjoyable and relaxing to come "home" each night and have a glass of wine while enjoying the views. The neighborhood is fabulous, as well. Very quiet and great for kids, yet close enough to the hustle and bustle, it was easy to get around. Parking was never a problem for us. We contacted John several times with general questions, including the best way to get to local attractions. He was always extremely responsive and gave us good advice each time. The only complaint I have about our stay in San Francisco is it was too short!

  • Let's start with the house… Everything you'd expect and lots of extra's you wouldn't. Full kitchen with all the tools you'll need. One nice master bedroom (with tub and full bay view) and two smaller but still large for SF standards. I've been to SF many times and I can say that this house has larger rooms than most and has been updated recently to an high level of finishes.
Then there is the back deck with 180 degree view from Twin Peaks all the way down to the bay… Incredible from morning till night.
Quite neighborhood with small market just yards away. If you 'll be 100% public transit you may find the walk to the house steep… If you Uber or Taxi you'll love the local.
Lot's of extras that make this place great.
John provides greats notes for the place and was immediately available when we had a quick question about the place… And he was very cool about a late checkout.

  • We had a great time staying at the Noe valley retreat. The place was amazingly well kept with great views and enough room for all 5 of us. John was a great host and did everything he could to make our stay comfortable. I highly recommend the place and John as a host. Will definitely stay there again!

  • I cannot recommend John's place highly enough! It was gorgeous and clean, and in a great neighborhood. In addition, he was incredibly responsive and helpful. He hustled to get this house ready for my friends who urgently needed a place to stay in SF, with very little notice. He was so friendly, and tended to every detail! What a great place, and what a great great guy! Thank you so much, John!!!!

  • John and his home were both incredible! From my inquiry until our exit, he was courteous, understanding and prompt. His customer service was outstanding! He was flexible enough to allow an early check in and was always friendly! The home itself is amazing. The space, views, sound system and grill were the most impressive to me. In short, I would recommend John, this home and airbnb to all I know! Thanks John, the guys and appreciate it!

  • beautiful home, well equipped. we loved the location (easy walk to noe valley shops and the mission district) and the views, but you need to be ok with walking up/down hilly streets. only thing we would have liked differently would be to have had curtains on the windows, but we got used to it.while we didn't really need much from john, he was readily available and easy to work with. would definitely stay again

  • John's house was amazing, a home away from home with every appliance you could ever need. The views were spectacular and they made leaving the house hard. The 24 bus was a block away and was only a short trip to Castro station where you can catch the streetcar or metro into the city and to the sights. Parking on the street was easy and there are no permits. Don't hesitate to book this house, very safe and picturesque neighbourhood.

I have lived in beautiful San Francisco for twelve years, originally from Boston. San Francisco is my favorite city in the US by far. We have incredible food, culture, outdoor sports and the most welcoming people you'll ever find.
