This apartement was just rebuilt with the best materials and some extraordinay furnitures. You have four balconies withe excelent views to a beautiful pedestrian street, in the absolute center of Madrid. You can walk to almost every interestin site.

The space

In a quiet pedestrian street within a two minutes walk from Sol, Callao and Opera.

The apartment was remodeled by spanish famous arquitect Manuel Ocaña. Furnished and decorated to the last detail with Vitra, Habitat and vintage scandinavian.

Great oak wood floors in all the appartment.

The living room has three balconies with views to Madrid roofs and to the convent of "las Descalzas Reales". The sofa can convert to a double bed.

One bedrrom is next to the living and has another balcony with the same views.

The kitchen is open to the dinning room. Its fully equipped, everything in the best qualities.

The main bedroom is quiet and full of light and it incorporates a great dressing room and a full bathroom all in stainless steel.

4th floor w/o elevator, heating, linen and towels, refridgerator, microwave, vitroceramic, dish washer, kitchen ware, crockery, juicer, toaster, electric coffee maker, electric water boiler, washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board, bath tub, hair dryer, TV, DVD, Internet connection and hi-fi equipment.

Guest access

You rent the whole apartment and you can consider it your home while you are in Madrid.

Interaction with guests

Right after you book will send an email with the address, the directions to the house, contact numbers and recommendations of my favorite sites and plans Chueca and Madrid.
Upon arrival, normally be Rosa Maria and Luz Marina, girls who take care of the apartment for me, who will await you at the appointed time on the apartment. You only have to call the intercom and will open from above.
I will be available at all times on my phone or on this page if you need anything at all.

Esperamos que disfrutéis de unos días estupendos en Madrid. Os dejamos una serie de indicaciones por si tenéis cualquier duda del funcionamiento de la casa, pero si tenéis cualquier problema llamad al +(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (Fernando) o +(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (Rosa María, la chica que cuida el piso).


Internet: El nombre de la red es: Postigo y la contraseña: postigo5 (en minúsculas). El Router está en el mueble de la televisión. Da servicio también al apartamento vecino así que, por favor, no lo apagues ni lo muevas de sitio. Si hubiera un problema la primera opción es apagar y volver a encender el router (funciona el 99% de las veces). Si el problema persiste llámame.

Teléfono: Puedes realizar llamadas a fijos o móviles locales (con moderación por favor). Por favor no llames a números especiales (900, 901…) ni al extranjero si no es por una urgencia. Para recibir llamadas el número es el (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

Electricidad: La caja de luces está en el hall común con el apartamento de al lado.

Televisión: Normalmente los canales están sintonizados. Si se desconfiguran puedes sintonizarlos con el mando. Para sintonizar el DVD utiliza la tecla de la esquina del mando de la TV (source).

Calefacción: La caldera está en el vestidor. Para regularla enciende y apaga radiadores manualmente con la rosca blanca en la esquina de debajo de los paneles. Por favor, por consumo y ecología, no abuses de la calefacción y cierra los radiadores cuando te marches de la casa. Alguna vez la caldera pierde presión. Se enciende el piloto de alarma y aparece el Código 21. Debajo de la caldera hay un tubo de plástico azul. Hay que girarlo para que suba la presión. Cuando haya alcanzado 1.5 bar ciérralo de nuevo. Si el problema persiste, llámame.

Aire Acondicionado: El termostato en 23 o 24 grados centígrados debería ser suficiente. En el balcón más cercano a la chimenea hay una garrafa que recibe el aire que sale del aparato. Si es aire está encendido durante mucho tiempo podría llenarse y empezaría a gotear dentro de la casa. Por favor si esto ocurre apaga el aire, vacía la garrafa y vuelve a encender el aire. Por ecología y consumo, apágalo cuando salgas de casa.

Llaves: La llave de la puerta de madera marrón común a las dos casas funciona bien pero debes tirar de la puerta hacia ti mientras giras la llave hasta oír un clic.

Check-out: Deja las llaves en la mesa del sofá. No te preocupes de no cerrar la puerta con llave.

Basura y reciclaje: La basura orgánica se saca a partir de las 20:00 y se tira a un cubo gris con tapa naranja que encontrarás en el portal o en la calle junto al portal.
Para reciclar plástico, papel y vidrio hay tres contenedores en la calle Veneras, casi haciendo esquina con la plaza de Santo Domingo.

Limpiezas durante tu estancia: Si necesitas una limpieza o un cambio de sábanas durante tu estancia puedes llamar directament a Rosa. Su tarifa es de 12 euros la hora.

Muebles de colección: En la casa hay una serie de muebles de colección: (la butaca elefante del dormitorio de los Eames, las dos butacas rojas del salón de Verner Panton, la mesa y las sillas del comedor, etc…) que te pedimos que trates con especial cuidado.

We hope you enjoy some great days in Madrid. We leave a number of indications in case you have any doubt about the functioning of the house, but if you have any problems knock at +(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (Fernando) or +(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (Rosa Maria, the girl who takes care of the floor).

Internet: The network name is: Postigo and password: postigo5 (lowercase). The Router is in the TV cabinet. Also serves the neighboring apartment so please do not turn off or move it from site. TV: Normally the channels are tuned. If you tune to misconfigured with the remote. To tune the DVD using the “source” button.

Heating: The boiler is in the dressing. To regulate radiators on and off manually with white thread at the corner below the panels. Please, consumption and ecology, not abuse heating radiators and closed when you leave the house. Once the boiler loses pressure. The alarm lamp is turned on and the Code 21. Below the boiler there is a blue plastic tube. You have to rotate to raise the pressure. When you have reached 1.5 bar close it again. If the problem persists, call me.

Air conditioner: The thermostat to 23 or 24 degrees Celsius should suffice. In the closest balcony to the fireplace there is a decanter receiving the air leaving the unit. If air is on for a long time could fill and begin to leak into the house. If this occurs please turn off the air, and empty the bottle back on the air. For ecology and consumption, turn it off when you leave home.

Keys: The key common brown wooden door to the two houses work well but you must pull the door toward you while you turn the key until you hear a click.

Check-out: Leave the keys in the kitchen counter. Do not worry about not locked.

Trash and recycling: Organic waste is removed after 20:00 from the gray cube with orange lid you'll find on the building´s hall or on the street next to the buklidings´ door. To recycle plastic, paper and glass are three containers at Veneras street, almost on the corner with Plaza de Santo Domingo.

Cleaning during your stay: If you wish extra cleaning or linen changes during your stay you can call Rosa María. She charges 12 euros per hour.

Collection Furniture: In the house there is a series of furniture collection ( the elephant armchair bedroom Eames , the two red armchairs Hall of Verner Panton , table and dining chairs , etc ... ) that we ask you treat with special care.

We thoroughly enjoyed Fernando's apartment in Madrid. It was centrally locally close to restaurants, shopping and transportation. We found it very comfortable for our family of four which included two teenagers. The apartment had everything we needed and was a great place to relax at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Two things to be aware of: 1. Be prepared for the 5 flights of stairs. It's only a challenge when bringing your luggage in but after that it's just some good exercise . 2. The apartment is located in a busy nighttime area. People are going until the wee hours of the morning which creates a lot of street noise. Overall, we would definitely recommend this apartment.

This apt is a located in a terrific area very close to everything you would want to experience in Madrid, however, it is up five flights of stairs and is extremely inconvenient in terms of taking luggage up and down. Additionally, their is only one air unit and it does not properly cool the apartment. We were uncomfortably hot the entire two days of our stay. Fernando is a pleasant person but providing fans to guest who expect air is just not my definition of comfort.

Very nicely furnished apartment in a central location. Lots of light and a good vibe. Plenty of room for our family group of four and the second half-bath was a plus. The kitchen was well equipped and supplied. Unfortunately the large rear bedroom does not have air conditioning. The Carpe Diem restaurant outside the front door was quite nice and had a local feel.

This was our second stay at Fernando's and I must say his Airbnb keeps getting better and better! The location could not be more perfect. Everything is at your fingertips! Perched on the top floor overlooking red tiled roofs and church domes. We sat and watched the swifts for hours in the sunlight. Thanks Fernando.

I´m Fernando, I´ve lived in Madrid most of my life, and I love my city.
I first airbnb during a long trip through the United States. As a guest I found it a great way to visit places. Much better than hotels. So when I came back I decided to rent my place. Its a house i designed for me and my wife . We bought it because it had tons of light, clear views and mainly the best location. Its in a quiet pedestrian street with many orange trees, but you are in the middle of everything and you can walk to all the places that we loved in Madrid. I hope you enjoy it as we did when we lived there.
