WE WANT YOU TO HAVE A GREAT TIME AT TAHOE BUT BEFORE YOU RESERVE THIS PROPERTY, PLEASE BE SURE YOU’RE OK WITH THE RULES (most of these rules, apply to ALL short term rentals at Lake Tahoe):
Our county has recently passed new regulations for ALL short term rentals:
1). Excessive Noise / Loud Music that can be heard by neighbors especially after 9pm is prohibited. Outdoor music or speakers is never allowed. (please keep the noise down). Our county enforces the rules & has 24 hour patrols to enforce the noise rules. They can issue fines to both the renter & owners if complaints are received.
2). HOT TUB: Quiet time starts at 9pm. You can use the Hot Tub until 9:30pm IF YOU KEEP THE NOISE LEVEL DOWN! Use of the Hot Tub after 9:30pm is NOT allowed.
3). We have room in our driveway for 3 cars. Short term renters are never allowed to park on the street. (If you’ll have more than 3 cars, there is a nearby public parking lot - ask us for details).
4). No parties or events can be held at any short term rentals.
5). Maximum occupancy limits- we are limited to 10 people on site / occupying the property.
6). Outdoor Open Flame / Wood Burning / Charcoal Fire Pits & BBQs are now banned at all short term rentals. This condo has an ELECTRIC BBQ on our deck. Fireworks are prohibited year-round.
7). Sorry we can’t allow pets.
8). NO SMOKING / VAPING inside the house. If smoking outside be very careful not to start a fire. Pick up & carefully dispose of all cigarette butts / ashes, etc.

Our county has an 800# that neighbors can call 24/7 to report problems with short term renters. They will also send out compliance officers if they receive a complaint. These officers can also issue fines to both the renters & owners of the short term rental. Bottom line…be a good neighbor, follow the rules, keep the noise level down & everything will be fine!

Other things to note
We’re in the Sierras and it’s always cooler than in the valley. Like most places at Lake Tahoe, this house does not have air conditioning. We have several ceiling fans plus portable fans available and it always cools down at night.
