Interaction with Guests
We meet you when you arrive to hand over the keys and make sure you feel comfy. Then we leave you alone unless you need us - we live close by but out of sight, so come and see us, if you need any help or information during your stay.
Everything you could possibly need is within a 10 minute drive. Anduze, is the more bohemian town to the west, and Ales, a larger city, has all the larger shops and hypermarkets
The surrounding area itself is gorgeous with the blue grey Cévennes mountains in the background. The house is in a great location; it is near enough to everything and has so many activities on its doorstep that it appeals to all ages. It is very near the Cévennes mountains and you will discover a very special and unspoilt part of France. We are very fond of it and never tire of doing something new each time we visit. We hope you do too! There's plenty to do exploring the local area, markets, steam train rides and the bamboo gardens
A car is definitely needed to get around
Other Things to Note
Central location close to many attractions, I'd recommend using the GPS "fastest route" over the "shortest route" option. unless you want to enjoy the small winding routes
Sorry, no pets
Peaceful and quiet, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind in nature, We kindly ask you to respect the neighborhood. Thank you.
Our family (2 adults and 2 young children) had a beautiful week in Vinni and Christian's house. The surroundings speak for themselves, with endless valleys, stunning views and vineyards aplenty. The house was clean. spacious, functional on the ground floor and cosy on the 1st, and lived up to its pictures. Likewise, we made full use of the garden (perhaps a little smaller than the pics suggested) and swimming pool (perfect) all week. Christian was friendly, fully available, flexible and helped us out with advice about the area. The best part about this house: all the little touches which makes a stay easy; condiments in the kitchen, mosquito nets everywhere :) cushions and tableclothes for outside, wifi, games for the kids, books to read etc. A couple of points to note: it is quite deep into the countryside so most day trips required a lot of countryside winding roads to get to bigger towns / motorways, and the upstairs bedrooms have skylights with no blinds so for kids they are not necessarily adjusted. Otherwise, I would fully recomment this house to families.
Thank you for your kind words, we are glad you enjoyed your stay.
Our house is in the foothills of the Cevennes mountains, in a tranquil setting, handy to so many sites, markets and villages of the region. We are 500 from a major road which will take you to Anduze or Quissac in 10 minutes, Nimes is at 45 minutes, Alès is at 30 minutes, Uzes at 40 minutes and Montpellier at one hour. We are 45 minutes away from the Motorway, and we are happy about that :) The small roads are our sign and charm of authencity which will let you leisurely explore charming villages and picturesque vistas which lie beyond the wellworn tourist trails
I'd recommend using the GPS "fastest route" over the "shortest route" option. Your GPS is just a computer, and will not understand that saving you a half hour of driving is preferable to saving you 1 km on your route.
Our garden and courtyard is 700 m2 and is overlooking open fields which can be used as playing areas
The skylights are equipped with blinds, but they are not black-out blinds. Ground floor rooms have shutters.

Vinnis and Christians lovely house in the Cervennes met our expectations completely and also our 3 generation family needs. We lovede the very autentic house with charming decor and lots of cosy nooks for the whole family. Our youngest daughter just loved the nice pool and the rest of the family loved the sun bathing possibilies next to it with a fantastic view to the wine fields below. Vinni og Christian are great hosts - very friendly, welcoming and helpfull and gave us many nice sightseeing tips. It's a lovely and prosperus area with many charming villages eg. Uzés (we can recommend the courtyard in the restaurant Le Bec a vin) and Anduze (with a gold medal winner sausage butcher and great meat), hiking possibilities, Pont du Gard and not least canoeing at St. Bauzille de Putois. We spent only a week (and this is not enough) and would definately love to return both to the lovely house and great area. Warm greetings from the Nyegaard family from Denmark - Copenhagen.
Vinni and Christians place is amazing! A wonderful renovated house, with more space than you expect on the photos. It is even more beautiful than the pictures show you. The perfect place to relax, specially with the pool. The location next to the Cevennen is perfect for day tours (hiking, rafting, visiting little towns). We definitely enjoyed our family time here. Christian is super kind and helpful and really cares about the house and that your stay will be all good. The perfect host! Thank you so much!
Vinni and Christian were very friendly and pleasant host. We enjoyed the nice house and the beautiful landscape around Masjo.
We can also recommend the house to make holidays in winter.... its warm enough :-)!
We come back at any time.
What a beautiful house this is! Set amongst vineyard as far as you can see and within easy driving distance to so many beautiful towns and amazing landmarks.
Unfortunately we never met Vinni and Christian but we were always in contact, sending us recommendation, helping us with any problems including arranging their house keeper at short notice.
The house has such charm, you will soon feel as if it is your own. Wonderful kitchen with everything you could possibly need to prepare food for your family. Flowers are everywhere, great views from the top living room and even a few toys for the kids.
The fire was left ready and waiting, as was a bottle of local wine and plenty of maps and guide books.
Very much recommended :)
We were warmly welcomed by Vinni And Christian who showed us around and told us where everything was and then left us to enjoy a wonderful week spent in their beautiful house.
The house is so comfortable and spacious and we all enjoyed the pool which was kept spotlessly clean. We visited Anduze and many local villages and travelled down to the coast and had a dip in the sea.
We thoroughly recommend this holiday home and would love to return sometime.
Many thanks for a perfect break in idyllic surroundings.
