Our 30' yurt is tucked into the pines overlooking our pasture with mountain views out across the valley. Located in the Jay, it's a perfect base camp for summer hikes, bikes or paddles in the Adirondacks. Sheep and chickens graze the pastures Grab some farm meats for the grill after a big day in the mountains and enjoy a meal in our new outdoor kitchen space after a hot rinse in the outdoor shower. Your favorite winter spot now available for the summer!!

The space
The yurt is roughly 700 ft2 broken into three main spaces. There is a master bedroom with a queen, a smaller bunk room with twin bunks, then a big space with a living room and kitchen area with a table.
Outside you'll find a new roofed outdoor kitchen space with a range/oven, gas grill, stainless steel commercial sinks and plenty of space to set up a spectacular meal. Tucked behind the kitchen is a wonderful outdoor shower and a small vanity.
There's a fire pit with benches, chairs and a hammock strung between a couple pines.
There is no running water in the yurt and the bathroom is a composting outhouse 30' from the yurt door. Just add wood shavings after each use.

Set on a working sheep dairy, guests have the 30' yurt to themselves along with the spacious area around the outdoor kitchen which includes a modest fire pit, propane grill with seating, picnic table and hammock. The main farmhouse is also a rental as well as the tiny house tucked in the woods out behind the yurt. We ask you to respect the privacy of those guests, just as we ask them the same of your privacy and farm stay experience.

Other things to note
The green farmhouse is also a rental. We live across the road. Let us know if you need an EV charger and we can plug it in by the main barn.

Lives in Jay, New York
Shannon and I operate a small sheep dairy producing yogurt, lamb and fiber. We have two boys, (13 and 11). We live, farm and play in the Adirondack Mountains and place much importance on healthy food and healthy land. We love hosting folks at our farm to share the awesome view and the tasty local foods. We live just across the street from our farm stay rentals and enjoy connecting guests with local hikes and activities.
