About This Listing
Enjoy a homely and spacious stay in our townhouse at the very heart of Woodstock - which has come to be known as one of the most vibrant and picturesque villages in Vermont. This apartment gets much of its charm by virtue of being nicely decorated with fine arts and antiques from yesteryear to present date. It is a split-level apartment laid out with a downstairs level that consists of an open plan kitchen, dining and living room. As for the upstairs level, there is an open plan bedroom and office space along with an ensuite bathroom and laundry room.
This apartment is located less than a stone's throw away from most of the shops and restaurants that line the main commercial stretch of town; it is less than 5mins walking distance from both the supermarket and general store; it is no more than 10mins by foot from the historical landmark of Billings Farm and the serene scenery of Rockefeller National Park; and it is only about 10mins driving distance from the small slopes of Suicide Six and less than 30mins by car from the steeper slopes of Killington.
The duplex was beautifully decorated and wonderfully located. I would be happy to stay again and recommend it. It is also right next to the best coffee/cafe in Woodstock. The hosts were friendly and available had I needed anything. It has a wonderful big desk on the second floor that I put to good use.
Had a lovely time. Everything was simple, and easy. Great decor, and the location couldn't be better! John was very communicative.
Keep in mind that Woodstock overnight parking is limited, and this apartment only has one spot.
The shower is also very small which is something to keep in mind if you're a larger person.
Would definitely come back and recommend to you!
The accommodations were better than expected with even more room than the photos showed. The traffic can be quite noisy, especially when the snow plows are out early, but those are tradeoffs for being on a central walkable street and having good nearby ski conditions. Shopping and dining options start from downstairs continuing for three blocks or so into downtown Woodstock. The off-street parking was a plus and was well maintained despite blizzard like conditions. We also liked how there was no television on the ground floor, perhaps encouraging more reading, conversation, cooking, and just soaking in the scenery. For the grownup ski vacationer I would definitely recommend staying in Woodstock over Killington, having gained more value in both accommodation and a better apres ski experience in the surrounding neighborhood.
Our stay at the apartment was lovely. We were a close 30 minute drive to Killington for skiing. The driveway in the back made for easy parking. The space was comfortable and charming. John was readily available and made it easy for us to arrive late at night.
This review is for Tendencies' studio space in the same location, because after booking was confirmed, our host contacted us to ask if we'd mind switching to the smaller space. So - the studio was clean, quiet and simply appointed, with interesting art on every wall. Completely suitable for a romantic weekend in Vermont. They greeted us on arrival and were available but not intrusive, which we both appreciate.
This was a fabulous convenient apartment in Woodstock VT. It is private, with a spacious living/kitchen area and a nice upstairs bedroom, with a small bath with shower only. The hosts were wonderful. My plans changed a bit at the last minute and they were very accommodating! The experience was exactly what I wanted, and all the amenities were as described. A great experience!
This was our 3rd of 3 Airbnb places we booked for a week trip to Vermont, with 2 nights in each town (Wardsboro, Middlebury, and then Woodstock).
Hands down, this was our favorite place of the 3. It was right on the main street of Woodstock so was within walking distance of everything, allowing us to leave our car in the private lot behind the building and not have to worry about parking.
The guesthouse was very clean, bright, and tastefully decorated with nice touches, such as a magazine of events going on in Woodstock, a large spacious closet with lots of hangers, and pretty bedding on a comfortable bed.
There's a cafe that is literally at the base of the building which made it convenient for going out for breakfast.
