Besides the fact that a 4th bed had to be improvised because the room was only for 3, everything was nice and clean. It's a bit far from the city center, but there's a metro station literally in the corner, so it was not a problem.
I booked a room for 4 people, but when we arrived the only thing we could get was a double bed and an improvised one, because they said that airbnb had sent to them that the reservation was for one person, even though my reservation from airbnb stated for 4 people. We contacted her and she kept saying it, and that the only available room was that one, which makes no sense. The hot water wasn't enough for even 2 person to take shower, and as we were in 4 people it was really complicated, mainly because it was winter. There is a tax that doesn't show in the description that is 3,50€ per person per night from Rome. The breakfast was good and Julio, the person was expecting us in the hotel was really friendly and nice. By my experience, I recomend this place for people that want a low cost stay and don't mind for comfort.
(This review is based on what you expect for a budget room in Rome)
Good points: Good beds and spatious room. Clean, Next to the metro (some 15 minutes from the center). Price is fair.
Bad points: Nobody is there during the day, so if you have any problem there is no service. We stayed there 3 nights, and we only saw the owner the moment we arrived, and one of the nights there was a man. When we needed something (eg. shower gel) there was just nobody. Also when other people left they had to leave the entrance door open because there was nobody to collect the keys and that's not really safe, specially when you are out and nobody takes care about your belongings).
- Industrial breakfast.
- After paying the price in airbnb, tyou are asked to pay a tax (2€/person/night) fixed by the city hall. To be honest I think It should be included in the room price since the first moment.
To sum up, it is not a bad place (you sleep really very well) but everything feels a little bit "strange". Recommended for experienced budget travellers and not for those that expect a bargain for that price.
There are some things not exact, because they said that they saw nobody during the day. They saw me,my father and my brother not''a man''!But they sleeped until late morning and we bring them the breakfast,we clean the room and the house.then they went out.And in these days there was my family and them.Who is that to leave the door open?Sure we not! What is industrial breakfast?we service bread, butter, marmelade, cakes, coffee and we leave in the city not in a farm. However not is possible to like for all!!!
Me and two other friends spent 3 nights in Rome and had a great time staying at Kat's! The place is literally located right by the metro an it was a so quick to get into the center of the city/all of the sites. We were provided with towels and breakfast each morning as well as a ton of brochures. There's no wifi, but forno cafe across the street has it.
Would recommend for students and those traveling on a budget!

About the Host, Katiuscia
Buon viaggio a tutti!
