Thank you Peter for making us most welcome at your Gite, we enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon. It is in a wonderful secluded situation with plenty of seating to enjoy the sun or shade with lovely open views to the countryside. The accommodation has all the modern conveniences you would need whilst the owners have renovated it to retain its character.
This cottage is in a great location for touring the area of Carcassonne, Beziers, and surrounding areas.
It is lovely and peaceful, and in a quiet village on the Canal du Midi
Everything has been thought of to ensure your comfort. However, the mezzanine bedroom could be a downside as it has limited headroom. We were OK with it.
Peter is a helpful, non-intrusive host
We will return!
This is a lovely cottage in a quiet village right on the Canal de Midi. It's a great base for people hoping to explore Carcassonne, Narbonne & the wineries of Corbieres & Minervois. The best feature is the fabulous garden. The only thing some might see as a downside is the bedroom is a loft/mezzanine set up with steep stairs and limited headroom, but we were just fine with it.
Listing accurate but didnt really convey how lovely and atmospheric the gite and village are. Great experience. Would definitely return. Impossible to meet more accommodating hosts.

About the Host, Catherine & Peter
We moved to France a few years ago, having fallen in love with the area and, in particular the village, where we had already had a holiday home for the previous seven years. Our home is just down the road from our gite.
We enjoy meeting our guests, sharing our knowledge and experience of the area - history, wine, birdwatching, routes for walking and cycling.
