  • We had a great stay at Laksmi villa, Wayan was a great host, very friendly and helpful.
The location is perfect, furnitures are new and well kept. Sometimes the internet was a bit slow but that was the only a minor issue for us.
    We will come back!!
Ps we miss Luna and the little puppy very much!!

  • We stayed 3 nights, Wayan picked us up at the airport which was a great way to start our holiday and it was included in the price of booking. The villa is great with really nice furniture and a great backyard and cute/modest sized pool (not a deal breaker just that the other villas we also stayed in seem to have massive pools). Pros are the lovely design and daily cleaning of the villa and pool, and thankfully one great healthy cafe not too far to walk by foot. There's no supermarket in the immediate area but we didn't stay long enough to bother we just ate out all the time. We're pretty 'fussy' eaters in that we are real foodies and that's the only drawback to the area, a lack of great places to eat but again I'm a food snob (judge me if you will) if it wasn't for the organic cafe I might have been a bit disappointed. The villa included a cot which our baby used, and we slept in another room on the other side of the villa and used the baby monitor. We also organised a babysitter and then explored the area by motorbike which was way better, otherwise what's available by foot is not much and I got annoyed haggling with taxi drivers who tried to charge me $10 to take me 1km to Padang Padang beach. The beach is fine but I didn't come to bali for the beaches, so I didn't have high expectations. If you are a family with kids the location while close to Padang Padang is good is kind of not near other things so renting a car/driver might be good or you could just do nothing and relax in the villa. If you don't have kids then hire motorbikes and you'll be at Uluwatu in no time which is fun to watch the surf and try the warungs for a beer or juice or snack etc. in this trip to bali I stayed in 3 different villas and locations - this was a great villa with great design and furniture but area wise lacked the cafes and restaurants I found elsewhere but again I'm majorly into food and we ventured only in the Padang Padang and Uluwatu area at night - there's probably lots of other stuff I didn't know about!

    Nice rooms and swimming pool.
    Staff very nice.
    Some problem with wifi.

  • We are really enjoy our stay (total 6 days).

The place is good. All pictures are real.

We had small problem with hot water supply but one phone call and it was fixed.

Small warning: there are a lot of ants there so do not leave your food on surface.
To get to villa in ease scooter is highly recommended.

But beside this amazing pool, conditions and relaxing is what we need.

  • Our favorite place we stayed while in Bali! Amazing villa and great and helpful staff - Wayan was great with all our needs and the whole team at Villa Laksmi was very helpful to us. We rented a moped while there (Wayan arranged) and it worked out great - easy to get around and no problem on the roads if you are mildly comfortable driving the thing (my husband even convinced me to do it one day to the main road, so it's not hard). The Villa is amazing - we loved it. The pool fantastic. If you want to watch a movie at the villa just either bring some DVDs or buy some in Kuta before you come. The ac works great and the outdoor bathroom and shower are fantastic. We had a number of issues with the safe not working, but the staff promptly and professionally fixed the issue immediately every time. Very impressive customer oriented service. The complimentary ride to the airport was appreciated! Amazing stay and would come here again!!!

  • This Villa was not quite what we had expected. Though to be fair, we are a family of two adults and 4 children aged 2-7yo and I think this Villa is geared for couples, not young families. The Manager, Wayan, is amazing and when it was obvious that the Villa didn’t suit our needs he tried to fix the situation as best he could. So, some pros and cons of the Villa:
    Lovely pool.
    Great toilets.
Close enough to Padang Padang Beach for an Adult or older child to walk (or ride a scoter) from the Villa. It’s a rough road though so reasonable scooter skills are recommended.
    Fantastic Manager, Wayan.
Would suit a couple (or two couples) that can walk/scooter into the restaurant/beach area.
Reasonable price for a 2 bed Villa in that area.
Really close to all the amazing surfing beaches, Padang Padang, Impossibles, Ulu’s, all a short walk or scooter ride away.
Wayan will arrange a very safe and new scooter at a good price.
    Good Wifi
The layout, there are two bedrooms that lock up, they are separate and there are no other enclosed areas, i.e. the livingroom/kitchen area has no 4th wall. We were not comfortable with leaving our young children in one bed on one side of the villa while we slept in the other, so my wife and I slept in separate rooms and divided the kids up (not quite what my wife and I had in mind for our holiday!)
There are mosquitos, despite what they will tell you, though they are not a plague by any stretch of the imagination and would not have bothered us but did bother the kids.
Too far away from the Beach and Restaurant strip for kids to easily walk, we could usually manage one way however.
Taxis really expensive (for Bali) to and from Villa. They sort of have you over a barrel though when you’ve got 4 young kids hanging off you! Local Bemo rates in Pecatu (Villa area) were much higher than when we took a Bemo from elsewhere back to the Villa
Simple kitchen, gas and a few pots, not really enough for self-contained.
No pool fence, we knew that before going.
Tiny ants everywhere and only the fridge was the safe spot for food, probably not an issue for a couple with a smaller amount of food, but for a hungry family we ran short on space. And there were some rats, they ate the boxes of food that we kept in the locked up bedrooms and there was rat poo in the rooms the next morning, didn’t bother me but my wife was less comfortable with it.
Of the 12 days we booked in there, we only stayed 5 nights.
Also worth noting that I did ask before I booked if Laksmi Villa would accommodate our young family. So, conclusion, It’s not a place I’d go back to, though if I did it’d be because of Wayan.
