My housemate recommended Graeme's 'The Lookout' to my boyfriend and I and we too couldn't reccomend it more. The location is beautiful and quaint and the accomodation is modern and clean. Graeme and his wife were the loveliest hosts and we could not have picked a more perfect spot for a weekend away!
From the moment we arrived at Graeme and Julie's place we felt at home. Graeme provided all the information we needed on arrival and then just let us be to enjoy his remarkable property. Julie provided some yummy treats for us which made staying there even better. As Julie works we only met her the once but Graeme was always somewhere around the property if required.
The house was perfect and everything you needed was there. There was also plenty of firewood so even though it was quite cold outside it was lovely and warm inside.
This was an absolutely idyllic place for a short stay. The location is beautiful and the cottage extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. We loved the open fire and stargazing around the outdoor fire. Graeme had these set and ready to go when we arrived and provided us with wood each day. We also greatly enjoyed sitting on the private verandah watching the many little birds. The walk to the lookout is a must - fabulous views! Graeme and Julie are lovely and very generous hosts, providing home-baked treats and cheese and yoghurt from Kenilworth cheese factory. We are delighted that they have chosen to share their little piece of paradise and plan to visit again.
We had a wonderful couple of days staying at Graeme & Julie's Lookout cabin. The cabin was beautifully presented and had everything we needed with a number of really special touches. Breakfast on the deck in the sun watching the birds and wallabies, sunset from the lookout at the top of the hill behind the property, watching the stars appear as we sat around the fire pit outside - all made for a memorable time for us and the kids. This location was also great to do a couple of rainforest walks in the surrounding neighbourhoods. Thanks so much for a great getaway and for being such lovely hosts!
Graeme and Julie are the perfect hosts - we were warmly welcomed to the property, given a tour and got some tips about the lay of the surrounding land. The unit was immaculate, spacious and tastefully decorated with personal touches. The facilities were excellent and although we only stayed for 2 nights, could have easily done with 1 week! The views are incredible, especially from the top of the hill - don't forget your camera. Highly recommended.
Grame has a really beautiful place on the mountain, it is a little bit far from town, but the view is totally worth it. Grame was really nice, he showed us around and pinpoint the places where we would see the sunset.
We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely visit again.
Beautiful scenery and immaculate accommodation made our trip wonderful. Everything we needed provided including delicious homemade muffins and yogurt and cheese from local factory! Definitely recommend a stay at the Lookout (note - the walk up to the actual viewing lookout was amazing but not for the unfit!) Would come back here in an instant!
