This was the second time I've stayed on the property and I can't wait to come back. The accommodations were perfect, everything was clean, and my late arrival was not only taken well but I arrived to a campfire and friendly hosts! I love everything about it here. I only wish I could have stayed longer, as it was a stopover and I had to get back on the road early.
Laura and Ben's property was absolutely wonderful. Although we didn't have the opportunity to meet Laura, Ben was an exceptional host! I had stupidly injured my arm that day ATVing and he provided me with all the ice and advil I could ask for. Ben and Laura' s property felt like a fairyland. It was such a nice, peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of LA (where I live). Basically everything on their property was crafted by Ben and Laura and it's clear they love their home and the area surrounding it. My friend and I felt very lucky that they shared their haven with us. I would love to return and stay in the teepee! The tent we stayed in was cozy and stocked full of blankets. I have only good things to say about my stay in Arroyo Grande. Thank you for the weekend!
Having tried AirBnB for several years, this was certainly one of the most original stays I experienced. "Glamping" was a cool mix of camping - sleeping in a tent, having a campfire at night on a large meadow, swing sets (with ocean view!) - and glamour - all necessary amenities such as proper shower, bathroom, actual bed with carpet inside the tent are there. Sleepers in the tent should not forget to put in earplugs as the tent is fairly close to CA 1.
Ben (I didn't get to meet Laura) has a very warm personality and welcomed me on their spacious property; gave me many tips for my onward journey to San Francisco!
Would come back (perhaps to the water tower or the tippie then) in the future.
Laura's place is magical. I just used it as a stop on the way from Oakland to LA but it made me want to stay longer. The mattress makes the tent extra comfy and the property is beautiful. Don't miss the adult size swing set!
Also Laura and her husband were super friendly and gave us lots of good tips.
Wonderful farm, Laura and Ben are really nice and helpful.
The tent is really nice and clean, the only issues might be the noise during the night since it is close to the highway1, not recommended for light sleepers!
What a great surprise! I was expecting a small dirty tent and an uncomfortable bed, but I was very wrong. The tent feels as big as a normal bedroom and the bed was incredibly comfortable! Plus there is a rug on the floor so it really feels clean and cozy. Furthermore, the bath house super spacious, clean, and really well decorated! The entire AirBnB outdoor area is very well designed and so charming! 10 minutes to Pismo beach and food/stores even closer. I met the hosts and they were really friendly and accommodating. There is some noise from passing cars, but it quickly became background noise to me and I hardly noticed. My only suggestion would be to bring a laptop or something bright to provide a little extra light at night, although the led lantern already provided will easily suffice, I just liked the extra light. Overall, I loved my time here on the farm!!
Thank you Laura and Ben for the amazing day. My girlfriend and I booked this stop last minute on our way back from Napa. Laura and Ben were very accommodating. I cannot wait to plan another trip and visit the tipi.
