My stay with Ben & Laura exceeded my expectations, and was an experience that I hope to revisit again soon!
Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Ben, Laura, and their two dogs Rio and Roscoe. Laura gave me a quick tour of the essentials, and I then was free to roam around the premises and explore the magic on my own. I stayed in the "glamping" tent, which was super clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bath house was also very clean and cute, and stocked with toiletries and bath towels.
It was almost surreal to walk around and see all the things that Ben had built—from the outdoor fireplace, to the wood-fire pizza oven, to the bath house, to the hobbit door/wine cellar! You could tell that there was a lot of work and thought into making the place so welcoming and charming.
Ben and Laura are two really great people, with such kind and open hearts. I really do hope to stay here again, and would recommend this place to everyone. This review does not do their home justice; you'll just have to see it for yourselves!
My boyfriend and I had such a magical stay here in Arroyo Grande. The property is so artistically built thanks to Ben's handiwork. Both Ben and Laura were a pleasure to meet and chat with. They are living the dream! It was great to be able to stay in such a comfortable tent set up, with a full mattress, and access the lovely facilities. Thanks Laura and Ben!
Ben and Laura are both very nice people with a great, interesting place to stay at. Everything was very clean including the bathroom, and the tent and bed were very comfortable. One night isn't enough to explore their amazing home!
Their home was very welcoming. My girlfriend and I stayed for just one night and wished we could have stayed longer. It wasn't as loud as I though it was going to be, it was very very comfortable. Laura and Ben did an amazing job making their home such a beautiful place to share with others. We would definitely come back!
Such a great experience! Laura and Ben went out of their way to make us feel welcome and show us around their beautiful property. They've thought of everything - even leaving a flashlight out for us. Enjoyed playing with all the dogs, cats and horses and jumping on the swings and teeter-totter. The bed was perfectly comfortable and we were cozy even without the extra blankets. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Really beautiful property- very funky and eclectic! Our hosts were incredibly welcoming.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome in Laura and Ben's amazing home. Glamping in their tent was great, it was very cosy and the double bed was very comfortable. We went out for a meal in nearby Pismo Beach and when we returned we sat around the campfire with our hosts and some of the other guests, it was a lovely evening and a great way to start our trip in California. It's a shame we were only able to stay for one night, but hopefully one day we will get chance to return.
