Ben and Laura did a great job fixing up this tent into a little cabin. Carpet, raised platform and good airbed. The shower and bath are well siituated with free coffee, tea, oatmeal -- it was a great stopover on my bike tour on the coast.
Phenomenal stay at Laura's great property and luxury tent! Laura is extremely welcoming, the bed in the tent is very comfortable with plenty of extra blankets for those chilly nights, and the stand alone bathroom was top notch. Very spacious and a huge shower area. She provides great coffee and oatmeal, do it yourself style from the outside pantry. Great location, can't go wrong. And there's a fire pit!
This was our first AirBNB rental, and holy wow did it set the bar high! The tent didn't even feel like a tent the way it was set up permanently on a platform with carpet, a light, a bed, and extra blankets. The bathhouse shower was better than my apartment, ha! Really enjoyed getting a tour of all the cool stuff Ben had built out of found materials, and chatting with him about the stuff he was working on in his workshop. Such a cool place.
Glamping rocks!! We loved the tent and the beautiful property. We were very welcomed and had a wonderful stay. Laura and her husband were helpful with directions and suggestions. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Laura and Ben are wonderful, welcoming, low-key hosts. The tent set up was really nice, and the bathhouse was really cool and funky. The property is fun to explore with lots of animals and a lot of personality. Only minor drawbacks were that the property is a little bit closer to the road than we thought it would be, so we did get some road noise, but complimentary ear-plugs are provided, which helped minimize the noise. The other minor drawback was the temperature--it ended up being a pretty cold night the first night we stayed there, so we used all of the blankets in the tent to eventually make it cozy. There is electricity in the bathhouse, though there isn't any in the tent itself, which was just a minor consideration. All in all, it was a cool experience and lovely to meet Laura and Ben. We left with good memories, and some farm fresh eggs, too!
I had a lovely, cozy time "glamping", glamorous camping. Laura is a generous, warm, and wonderful host. I arrived in the evening, in the dark, and Laura met me and made sure I had everything I needed. In the morning I work up surrounded by art, animals and an ocean view! Laura gave me a grand tour of the home she and her husband have created through the years and they enjoy sharing it. I want to go back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our glamping experience, and we were so glad that we found this hidden gem. Laura was out of town but Ben was (email hidden)iendly, warm and genuine. It was a delight walking the property and being introduced to Ben and Laura's artwork, and all of Bens amazing construction projects. The animals are wonderful, and so is the view. This fit our needs perfectly and we can't wait to go back!
The tent is great. Clean and cozy. If their water tower is booked, it also means you will have a great opportunity to meet other people. They have a campfire, give you free kindle & wood. Laura and her husband are artistic and very friendly people. They have a couple of cats and dogs running freely, hens and horses. We greatly enjoyed our stay!
We stayed one night at the tent and it was as described very comfy and spacious. Laura was really friendly and a very nice host who provided us with recommendations where to eat etc. The site is quite charming and there is a cozy atmosphere with a fire ring. You can also see the ocean from behind the house. The bathroom was really comfortable (opposite the tent) and clean (fresh towels were provided). They have lovely dogs and cuddly cats. The (only) con is, that the tent is right next to a crowded street so without the comlimentary provided earplugs it is pretty loud (also during the night).
We absolutely loved loved loved staying at Laura. Laura and her husband have put so much effort in creating this beautiful place. It's magical! I would love to come back one day. It's worth a visit. Prepare to be inspired.
