Fairy house is amazing!! The pictures do not do it justice. It's in a lovely location in Lucan Village, still accessible to Dublin by bus, while also being quiet and charming with all the restaurants, pubs, and groceries stores you would need. The room was spacious and homey, with its own bathroom. And she provided a living room with couches and a piano and tea and cookies and coffee that was just for us. Every morning Siobhan would make a different breakfast, and even made us a special dish when it was one of our birthdays. Her husband welcomed us, gave us information on the bus and where we could eat, and gave us a ride down the hill. They gave us great privacy and respected our space, while still being very available. Overall, Siobhan and her family provided such a wonderful experience, with an excellent location, great room and food, and beautiful time! Definitely recommend staying at the Fairy House if you get a chance.
The house and the room are spacious and with beautiful country style decor. We didn't have a lot of chances to interact with Siobhan but she was always quick to response on Airbnb whenever we've got a question. The breakfast was lovely as well. It was hard for us the first time trying to find the buses to the house but once we figured out where the stops are, it was a manageable 30mins to Dublin city center.

Siobhan's home is perfectly located for an introduction to Ireland. You are 20 minutes from the city in the quant Village of Lucan. Her home is a blend of old and modern very clean and full of interesting antiques. Both Siobhan and her husband were eager to make our stay comfortable. The boy are definitely boisterous as she mentioned and very sweet. I would recommend this home to friends.
Siobhan is your perfect host in every way. She is super caring and was very flexible with our needs, the huge stunning house is clean with great breakfast, and her charming husband and 4 sweet well behaved boys also make you feel at ease. Oh and lets not forget the lovely dog. 4 of us had restful 3 nights after coming back from taking pictures all day in the wild! I will recommend this place to anyone, all ages and all purposes!
A+! We had the most wonderful vacation in Ireland! We arrived at the "Fairy House" on a Thursday afternoon and were greeted with a nice cup of tea and a beautiful spacious and cozy home. Siobhan and Keith were so accommodating. This was our first trip traveling overseas with twins (six months old) and we were so comfortable the entire time. The room we stayed in was wonderful with a very comfortable bed.
The home is centrally located in Lucan (near two bus lines, pubs and shops) and we used it as a base camp for our Dublin adventure. Keith and Siobhan had many recommendations on where to go, how to get there and where to eat. They helped us coordinate stroller rental, taxi hire and when I ran out of baby formula, they even called around to the pharmacies for us! I would highly recommend this home for your Ireland getaway and cannot say enough wonderful things about this family. It is truly a little bit of country in the city.
If you are offered Siobhan's french toast or Oscar's smoothie, don't turn them down.
