The apartment is very spacious, has modern furniture and a well equipped kitchen. The location is very central in Miami Beach and is several blocks away from the beach. Everything was well organized regarding the first access to the apartment and the accommodation was as described. The apartment is in a nice and quiet neighborhood and close to some places to eat and small shops. We would definitely like to book it again when in Miami.
I was half an hour late and as such didnt have anyone greeting me, I got the code to the front door and combo for the key when she read my email. Apartment is as described I loved the location and the chill area in the back by the water. only 2 things that I needed help with was the wifi password which eventually she did get to me and there was no cable even though on the listing it clearly says there is and goes in great detail about the size of the TV, who cares about the size if there is no point to it? luckily I was able to use Netflix. Again everything was great and would defiantly want to com here again when I am back. you do need to bring your own toiletries and detergent.
We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights between Christmas and New Year's with our daughter, son-in-law and grandson (aged 2). On the plus side, the owner was very quick to respond to our emails and very accommodating, and the apartment was very nicely decorated. On the other hand, the apartment was not particularly well located for us and, while the photos were accurate (assuming a wide-angled lens), the description was a bit extravagant. The living room was not large by American standards (estimated at about 10 x 12), the common sun area on the pier was a very short decked path with a couple of pieces of furniture that were without cushions, and there was almost nothing of interest within easy walking distance. This was exacerbated by the fact that we arrived on a Friday night and the neighborhood is heavily Orthodox Jewish and what there was was closed until Saturday night. If you have a car and don't mind driving everywhere you want to go, then the location is fairly convenient. And if you are arriving by air, it is the first stop on the bus from the airport and a quick ride.
I have stayed at Nicoletta's apartment for 4 nights during the first half of March of 2013. There were 4 of us - my wife, me, and our 2 teenage sons. Nicoletta was probably out of the country at that time but her "cleaning lady" was there and she was extremely reliable and helpful: she was always available by phone and text and she was on site almost every day since she had other apartments to take care of. Since we arrived late she waited for us for more than 2 hours! Many places will charge you a late arrival fee but not Nicoletta. This apartment is strategically located, especially if you have a car: it is close to South Beach and it is right at the route 195 causeway that connects Miami Beach to Miami. It is clean quiet, and fully equipped (except for beach towels but it is not really a beach apartment). Comfortable beds, good linens and towels, 2 bathrooms (one has a shower and another a bathtub with a shower). Plenty of street parking. Interestingly, it is very close to Talmudic University, so, for those who keep kosher, it is an ideal place. There are at least 2 glut kosher supermarkets and several kosher restaurants and cafes (including a Chinese place) within walking distance. It was very easy to communicate with Nicoletta via email. I would suggest, however, to be worried about Airbnb itself because it did screw up several times, including telling me that Nicolleta has not accepted my offer when, it fact, she did. At the end everything worked out fine.
I would recommend this apartment for people who do not necessarily want to be in the middle of hubbub but close to everything. In my view, having a car is very important but if you like to take public transportation it is very close by.
Highly recommended! We were so impressed with Nicoletta's place, with her communication and the smooth check in and out. It's in a safe, quiet location but still relatively close to the beach and transport to central Miami.
The apartment is spotlessly clean and very modern (if, like me, you cringe at many of the chintzy interiors on Air BnB, this place is for you!). It's very spacious, and would accommodate 4 without feeling cramped.
There is a lovely communal boardwalk with outdoor seating that looks out onto the waterway. A great place to relax on a warm evening. We'll be back for sure.
