Three bedrooms, two baths apartment in a safe neighborhood.

The Space

Make sure you check all of my rentals for availability.

This apartment is totaly independant and not shared with anyone.

Eventhoug we are located in New Jersey you will be in Time Square in 15 minutes!!!

If you were to stay in the Bronx it would take you 40 min to get to Times Square. If you were to Stay in Brooklyn it would take you the same amount of time as subways in Brooklyn are not direct. If you were to stay in Manhattan you would not find a place as big as this one for this price.

The Bus stop is right around the corner from the house and comes frequently.

walking distance from super market, playground, tennis court and beautiful outdoor City swimming pool with fantastic New York views.

You could walk to Hoboken or be in Hobken with the bus in less than 5 minutes.

This apartment comes equiped with linens, towels and all kitchen necessities.

appliances are microwave, dishwasher, washer and drier.

The Neighborhood

In 1925, West Hoboken & Union Hill, merged and "Union City" was incorporated. Union City today is a popular destination because it serves as a more affordable and less congested alternative to Manhattan, yet it is less than 2 miles away. Transportation to NY is fast and convenient by car, bus, Path trains and ferry.

Union City has state-established "Urban Enterprise Zones" and features a 3 1/2 % state sales tax. At the present time, older apartment buildings, garden apartments, loft buildings and old factories are being converted into condos. It is a vibrant hub for commerce, especially along Bergenline Avenue (known as the "Miracle Mile" for shopping) , where predominantly Latino shop owners have settled from Cuba, Chile, Edcuador, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, mixed in with long-time shopkeepers of all nationalitites. The cuisine in Union City reflects the diversity of its inhabitants.

Getting around

The apartment is located within a 3-min walk to a bus stop the bus will take you to Times Square district in approximately 15 minutes (Important: Bus to Times Square costs $3.20 each way and bus tickets cannot be used for subway) NJ transit bus tickets cost $27 for 10 one way tickets. The bus will take you to Port Authority 42nd St subway station (lines A, C, E). This station is a central subway hub and you can easily walk to lines 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q and R. (Important: Subway tickets cost $2.50 per ride but you can buy 7-days unlimited pass at $29).
I do not recommend buying the unlimited pass as Port Authority is central and you can walk to all major tourist attractions.

  • The apartment is great! It was clean. Had most of the essentials. We were hoping to find a blender but we were ok without. Make sure to bring your own hand soap and toilet paper a small amount is provided to start with. Only complaint is master bath shower curtain needs fixing. Other than that I would say we would definitely stay again.

  • The stay here was very enjoyable and everything we wanted. Very close to the bus route to Manhattan. The house was updated and decorated nicely. The only negative was the shower curtain in the master bath...had to fight with it some. I would highly recommend it!

  • The apartment was just as described. It was nice and just the right fit for us. We were 7. The location of the bus stop was very close. You can see New York City view from the main street in which the bus stop was on. It was nice.

  • I booked Miyoko's place for me and three colleagues for a business trip. I had never used the Port Authority - NJ Transit bus system, but it was really easy. The one night it did take almost an hour to get from Manhattan to NJ, but that was due to rush hour, and half that time was spent waiting for the bus in the bus terminal. Overall, commuting to NYC worked very nicely.

The place was nice and worked great for us. The WiFi was good, 15+ Mbps download speeds. Kitchen was nice but we didn't cook much. Very relaxing place to stay after a day in the city.

  • The apartment was clean and comfortable, good quality appliances . We were very happy with the apartment and the parking space outside. The stairs were steep ,.a problem if mobility impaired, or young children left unattended.Easy access to Manhattan by bus, avoid peak times. We would definitely rent this apartment again. Ann

  • We had a great time staying at this apartment. We are a family of 6 from Farmington, New Mexico and we were all very comfortable. everything was just as Miyoko had said . The bus stop was just down the street just a minute walk it was that close and it takes you right to port authority where you can get on subways or just walk around town. This is very easy (email hidden)is was our first time in NY and we found our way around with no trouble. The apt. was very nice and clean and quite. We would stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. You do have to go up quit a few stairs to get in the apt.(just in case someone has trouble with stairs) Mikoko has an apt. for rent on the bottom floor that only has one bathroom. I was able to look at it when we got there and it was also very nice . Miyoko gave us some names for transportation to and from the airport. we used (website hidden) (armondo) he was great. on time and very nice suv
