Vauxhall Shopping & Entertainment:
Vauxhall's busy hub is mainly known for its nightclubs and bars but with a short walk one can find some uniquely local oddities: for example Vauxhall Grove is a charming haven featuring a community centre and a renowned vegetarian cafe overlooking stunning communal gardens. For everyday considerations there are two large supermarkets that are open until late.
Vauxhall Parks & Commons:
Vauxhall Park offers numerous facilities for children, but there are several communal gardens including Spring gardens, which features Vauxhall City Farm.
No smoking in the flat. Free wifi internet connection. Parking can usually be made available on request.

Thank you Clare for hosting my family in London. Your apartment is really lovely and they enjoyed their stay there very much. The fact it is only 2 minutes walk from the tube is a big bonus but still the location is very quiet with great views over London's skyline. I would definitely recommend Clare's place.
This apartment was even better situated than I realised. It was so close to the tube station and the bus station making all parts of London so easily accessible. It was bee well set up and there was absolutely nothing lacking in this apartment. Do yourself a favour and book this place!
Staying in London at Clare's apartment was wonderful. The apartment is located close to the underground, so getting around was easy. Clare was easy to get in touch with and the apartment was as described by Clare. She had put up notes around the apartment with helpful information which was really nice.
I can only recommend it!
This flat was an optimal place to stay for me and my family during our 3 day visit to London. Further to the perfect location in the vicinity to London's 'hot-spots', the house is located nice and calm in the backstreets of Vauxhall and though stores and restaurants are easy and quick to walk to.
In the flat itself we really felt at home all the time, only reminded we're in the big town by looking out of the windows and viewing Big Ben and the London Eye.
Many many thanks again to our host Clare who we never met personally unfortunately but had perfect communication all the time by mail and phone.
Everything was exactly as described, if not better. The flat was very clean, and the view from the entire place was stunning. There is a tube station nearby, and a really nice café right next to the building. There's also a beautiful community garden nearby.
~35 min walk to St. James park, less to Westminster Abbey and London Eye. I loved it!!!

I split my time between London and the south of France, and other places that my work takes me to. Outgoing and easygoing. I like to create a space where people can feel at home, and from which they can go off and do their own thing. I run my own training and coaching business, so am either out and about, or keeping in virtual contact with clients and colleagues via the cloud.
Having lived in Vauxhall for 10 years, I can give you insider knowledge of local places to eat and have a drink, and help you discover the wide range of specialist delicatessens that are dotted around the area.
When in France I'm hosting, cooking, gardening, and trying to find time just to sit by the pool reading or in a local cafe watching the world go by. In London there's not so much cooking - and you can't do much gardening on a small city balcony. So I'm either meeting up with friends or clients, going to the theatre or cinema or an occasional exhibition, or just catching up with the latest Scandinavian or French detective series. Ands working of course.
