Ok so the room was clean and nice, the bed was comfortable but as a single guy that was planning to party in jaco on NYE and get some sleep during the day it wasn't really quite and I wasn't comfortable because they had a couple of families with their kids (not their fault, I'm simply sharing my experience) and the room is right in front of the pool I can hear the kids jumping in the pool with the screaming and all. The girl at the front office was really nice but when I first checked in I didn't get any information at all about how to get to the beach or jaco or if I would like to book any activities through them, they only answered me when I asked and that was a bit shocking. It's not 20 minutes walking to hermosa beach it's 51 minutes walking according to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps if you can easily walk on a highway . They had shuttle to the beach but I had to tell them by an hour before which I also figured out too late by asking not them telling me. Rachel told me the 2nd day when she took me to jaco about a couple of places to eat say her recommendations was nice but I felt she didn't care enough. In general I recommend this place to a family or a couple but not for a for a single dude or a bunch of friends that into partying.

Thanks for the review Michael, I would agree with you we are not the hotel to rent a room at if you are looking to party in Jaco and bring girls back in the night. We are a small hotel away for the party in Jaco which is why most people like us. When you arrived you were quiet abrasive with Vanessa because the room was not yet ready and was well before the check-in time. Again as a small hotel we are very busy with holidays and almost every room and villa needed to be changed that day, not your fault, but you were not very understanding. Because you were abrasive on arrival, it is likely Vanessa was a little reluctant to talk to you about the options for activities in the area as you expressed that you just wanted to get in the room and rest. As for the walk to Hermosa beach, the beach is about 1 km which is less than a mile, so I'm confused as to why it would take 51 minutes to walk there?? As for me not caring, I am insulted, I took the time to ask you questions about your work and try to get to know you. As for the shuttle service, we offer free rides to the beach and restaurants in Hermosa, because we care about our guests and don't want them to have to walk in the heat the 1 km to the beach. But as we are not the Marriott we don't have a person that runs the van, it is us (my husband & I) and we work at the hotel and occasionally have a life outside of the hotel, so we ask that if you would like a ride we get advance notice, so we can arrange it. Again thanks for the review and we appreciate that you found our rooms clean and comfortable.

This was literally an awesome place for Four friends visiting Costa Rica For the first time. I loved it. Super close to the prettiest beach I encountered in the country. They gave us great recommendations and the breakfast was super tasty.

So glad to have discovered Las Brisas. Rachelle and John were awesome hosts. Super friendly, great communication, and were always around if I had any questions or needed recommendations. The property is as lovely as it appears in the photos. The clean outdoor pool area and the fresh, personalized breakfast every morning added to the charm of Las Brisas. I highly recommend staying here if wanting to see Jaco, Manuel Antonio, or any of the other surrounding beaches. It was a great area with many attractions within short distances if interested in day trips.

Las Brisas was a quiet, upscale place to stay. The construction and the landscaping made this place seem like a little oasis. Not far off the main road, you are able to enjoy the quiet country. John and Rachelle were welcoming and made sure we had everything that we needed. We enjoyed waking up and walking out to the pool area and having our breakfast ready within minutes of us showing our faces. We drove to Jaco every day. It was a short drive that didn't take more than 10-15 minutes. There are plenty of beaches to choose from in this area. When we would come back from a day of enjoying CR, the bed would be made and the place tidied up. We weren't expecting this, but it was nice to come back to. The pool was a lot of fun and the water temperature was warm. We would recommend staying here if you get a chance. It was nice to be outside of the busy city. Thanks, Marshall
