The space
The MainLake Building . 1927 . was the cornerstone hotel of the lively westside where Billie Holiday seranaded a rolicking night scene. It fell into disrepair until it was purchased in 1990 and renovated to house Chesapeake East handmade ceramics & decor by designer Dana Simson,
sold in fine stores and galleries internationally. The Chesapeake East store and gallery is downstairs along with SunPerk’s Cafe and PIY paint it yourself studio. Live artfully
with an elegant kitchen off
a spacious living/dining area with a gas-log fireplace. Two light filled bedrooms with privacy curtains give an airy, open feel to the loft.

There is Wifi and cable TV.
The apartment is fully stocked
with comfort items,
linens and toiletries. The kitchen
has new appliances and cookware
should you wish to eat in.
If not the cafe downstairs
has great breakfast fare,
coffees and baked goods.

Chill under high ceilings in the large living room. Original paintings, chic decor
and uplifting details create a true “happy-nest.”

Close to shopping, groceries and restaurants, you may park off street in the back parking lot. The building has a lovely view of the river and
frequently a tugboat or two are parked out front.

I love the Eastern Shore of Maryland, so close to both the Ocean and Chesapeake Bay. As a life-long artist/designer I am inspired by nature, color and light- all abundant and rich in these parts. Our store Chesapeake East is just downstairs full of up-lifting things or you can check out (Website hidden by Airbnb)

I believe if you offer someone a beautiful space to enjoy they will and the joy will remain behind. We love traveling via Airbnb and have stayed in some truly joyful spaces:)
