About This Listing
A pre-welcome to NYC from Greenpoint –one of the safest, quietest, quaintest, prettiest and most convenient neighborhoods the city has to offer. Five blocks away you have the East River Ferry, which for four dollars will shuttle you directly to Midtown (as well as Williamsburg, Dumbo and Governor’s Island). Three blocks away there’s the G train (three stops to 53rd and Lexington, one stop to Williamsburg –Brooklyn’s cultural/fashionable hub; by foot, a fifteen minute walk away). Greenpoint is also NYC’s film and TV locus. There’s always a movie or series being shot (the Boardwalk Empire set is just six blocks up at the end of Manhattan Avenue).
Your potential room is clean, quiet, private and sunny. It’s furnished with a freestanding clothes rack and closet, clean sheets and towels, a firm high-quality queen-sized bed. Your window looks out onto the back courtyard. The nights are extremely quiet. Our apartment is Box as opposed to Railroad, which means each room is well-delineated/not connected in tandem. We’ve also just recently remodeled the entire place: new paint jobs, furniture, floors, stove, etc. The spacious commons is equipped with an excellent sound system and TV/DVD player. The kitchen is spotless and equipped with all cooking essentials. Bathroom, spotless. We have WiFi.
The living room is provided for our guests to hang out or eat in. Preferably no eating in the bedrooms. You can also leave extra luggage in the living room.
We (Maria and myself, Joe) are married. We are quiet and courteous and NYC-busy so not often at home. We are looking for quiet, clean and respectful guests. We’re always excited to meet new people and would be glad to point you in the right direction as far as restaurants, venues, clubs, neighborhoods, etc. goes. If our place sounds/looks right to you, let us know!
DURING SELECT TIMES OUR MASTER BEDROOM/ENTIRE APT WILL BE FOR RENT. SEE OUR OTHER LISTING: 'Greenpoint Big Sunny Room'.

Looking for respectful, quiet and friendly clean people.
1. No smoking inside bedrooms or eating, only in common and kitchen areas.
2. No party's. Good vibes.

Maria and Joe were both very gracious hosts and the room was exactly as advertised. They were both welcoming and had lots of information available about the neighborhood. The apartment is located right in central Greenpoint, a perfect spot to explore Brooklyn. I would highly recommend that anyone stay with Maria and Joe!
Maria and Joe were both so very friendly and welcoming! We also loved the neighborhood! Relatively quiet, definitely safe, and gives you a lot to do. Also, super accessible to the subway and East River Ferry. That made it much easier to get around for us. If you stay here, you need to eat at the Brooklyn Label. It's only around a 5min walk from their apartment and was probably one of the best restaurants we tried during our trip in NY. We also really liked how close the apartment is to Williamsburg, another cool area of Brooklyn. If and when we decide to come back to Brooklyn, we're pretty sure we'll stay in Greenpoint again. So I highly recommend staying here!
We have had a great stay at Maria and Joe's place. They were very kind, interested, flexibel and helpful hosts with lots of tips about Brooklyn and the neighbourhood Greenpoint in particular. The neighbourhood is very nice and if we'd return to Brooklyn we would probably be in this area again. The fan in our room was very welcome during the warm and sunny days we've had.
Maria and Joe are perfect hosts. Friendly, helpful, social, ...
The apartment is very nice. It's clean and cosy. The room is not big, but you've got everything that uyou need.
We've loved the neighbourhood as well. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends if they're searching for a place to stay in NY.
It was our first airbnb experience ! And it was a good one. Maria and joe are very nice , good host ! You can ask them for good New York's tips !
The room is not big but you are not going to New York for staying in a bed ! The neighborhood is great after a day in Manhattan , we appreciated to retune in greenpoint ! The subway is close .. Well I recommend that place and the lovely guys !
We had a lovely stay with Maria and Joe! When we arrived Joe helped us with the bags and we got our own Keys. The shared bathroon was available for us whenever we needed it even if they had to go to work. They shared the kitchen with us like it was ours, plates, fridge, sink, everything. Whenever we had questions they did everything possible to help us. The Day we left they even let us store our luggage in the Apartment although there were new guests arriving.
The neighbourhood is very interesting, food is good and way cheaper than in Manhattan. There are Supermarktes and pharmacies around as well. From the river side You Get The MOST AMAZING view on Manhattan skyline. There is a fairy that takes You around downtown, def. worth a ride. Public transportation by subway was easy, quick and efficient.
All in all they are warm and lovely hosts, very clean, flexible and easy going. We would stay there any time again!
