Nestled in the heart of a serene rural community, our loft apartment offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle. Whether you’re seeking a weekend getaway or an extended stay, this cozy retreat promises modern comforts with a touch of home.
Wellington Loft is located above our oversized carriage style garage. We are two blocks from downtown, giving great walkability to shops, restaurants, movie theater, fitness center, churches, public library and the Post Office.
The space
STAIRS:
Wellington Loft is located behind our home above the carriage style garage.
This is up 15 steps with a landing halfway between. They are brand new safe stairs, but they are stairs, so we request you to be careful. We want our guests to be safe.
DECK:
Once up the stairs, the loft has its own expansive deck, with outdoor seating.
It is a great place to relax and enjoy the morning with coffee or a refreshment in the evening. The property is two blocks from downtown and very walkable. There is a map for you located in the office area for your review.
GREAT-ROOM
As you enter Wellington Loft, you are in the Great-Room with the Living room space and a dedicated office workspace to your right (east). There is plenty of seating. The couch also turns into a TV lounger just by pulling up the two handles at the bottom of the main seat. The TV, Roku and Bedroom AC Remotes are on the couch tray. There also is a cozy reading corner in this area.
SECOND BED:
If there is a need for a second sleeping area, extra bedding for this couch bed may be found by raising up the chaise. The bedding and pillows are store underneath. Sleeps one adult or two small children, comfortably.
THIRD BED:
A modern (not your Grandma’s) roll away cot is in the bedroom corner if needed.
KITCHEN:
To your west is the fully equipped kitchen, coffee station, breakfast corner and a quartz island that seats four. You have everything you need to prepare, cook and store food, for your entire stay. Just grocery shop and come.
(If you don’t wish to cook, restaurants are in walking distance.)
BEDROOM:
This King bed is HIGH. There is a stool if needed to get into bed. Tall people may choose to sleep closest to the bathroom door (west side of bed), as the ceiling slopes to the east. Vertically challenged individuals will be comfortable on the right side (east), however, please mind your head (duck🦆)
BATH:
The bathroom is luxury!
Rain Shower: Water comes from the ceiling.
No glass door, no curtain, just you and the gentle rain. Also, attached to the shower area is a handheld directional shower spray.
Soaking Tub: Double Slipper (71”) tub is the center focus as you enter the bathroom. Soak as you look out the skylight above and let all the stress and daily routines leave your thoughts.
Antique Sink: Rescued from the storage room of a local bank 20 years ago. It has been revitalized and is an asset to this bath.
TP: The world’s conundrum has been listened to and given equal staging. Two holders provided. One roll for fans of “over” and one for fans for the roll to come from under.
Guest access
You are welcome to use the deck, the patio below, the backyard, including the chiminea.
Wood is provided.
There is a basketball hoop, four-square court and upon request, we will set out yard games - corn hole, plastic darts/hatchets and ladder golf.
Other things to note
SAFETY FIRST!!
Just to reiterate, this beautiful apartment is a LOFT. It is upstairs (15 steps including the landing). Therefore, please be cautious on the stairs, especially while caring things.
We want you to have a great stay with no misstep (pun intended).
Please do not allow anyone to climb on the rails or look to far over the rails while on the deck.
