Interaction with Guests
Our philosophy is that our guests are on vacation and deserve privacy. We make ourselves available to them when/if they need anything and pride ourselves in responding quickly to their needs.
Midtown is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Atlanta. Centrally located to just about everything but safer and more residential than downtown. Midtown has it all - Piedmont Park, restaurants, bars/clubs, boutiques, offices, and entertainment. Surrounded by million dollar estate homes and stylish condos, our building is a few blocks from the Park on a quiet, safe residential street. Midtown is the Hollywood favorite - appearing in multiple films. If you're in town for work downtown or Midtown or hoping to catch a show at the Fox or explore the restaurant/bar scene, Midtown is where you want to stay.
In Atlanta your options are Marta, uber, or car rental. I can't say enough about Uber. It's a free mobile app - cheaper and faster than a taxi - all online - no money changes hands. As a local I use it all the time and I'm always impressed. Marta is great but there aren't a ton of stops - luckily the 10th st Marta stop is a 10/15 minute walk from our property. Car rental is another great option - off street parking with our property.
No smoking inside the apartment - please move to the porch. Be respectful of other neighboring guests with noise levels at night and in the morning ("quiet time" after 10pm and before 9am -soft voices, walking and talking during quiet time). Move loud conversations and get-togethers to local restaurants and bars. 3pm check in and 11am check out time is firm unless you get prior written approval. You may use any of the staple ingredients (oil, milk, sugar, etc) and coffee free of charge during your stay. We ask that if you drink any of the alcohol (if there is any in the unit at the time) that you leave what you think is fair or replace it :) Enjoy your stay! And you can always contact us if you need anything!
It was our second time staying at one of the places Jane and Louise offer to rent. Communication was very easy as the first time. All our emails and textmessages got answered very quick. We liked the lockbox for the key, which made us more flexible with arrival (Jane, can you believe I'm saying this
The flat at Piedmont was lobely. Just as described. The instructions provided were very easy to follow. The only minor issues we had was with the WiFi being very slow, and also hearing the constant footsteps of the house guest and their dogs on the second floor. Otherwise, the apartment is located in a great neighborhood and very comfortable for a family as well.
I love Jane and Louise's places in Midtown- so clean and decorated modern/cute in safe neighborhoods. This is the second time I've stayed with them since I'm in Atlanta for work often & it was a great experience as usual.
Listing as described, beds were a little noisy(headboard on one was not attached) Clean, decently furnished, very comfortable for an extended stay. Slight noise from upstairs neighbour traffic, but tolerable. Great location
Nice neighborhood, towels and sheets were lovely and clean. Really enjoyed the place, felt like home and the hosts were so quick to reply to email/text with any questions answered. Thanks so much, I had a lovely stay.
Super easy and convenient. Jane communicated all of the information needed for the house in advance and there were plenty of instructions and helpful tips inside. The apartment was clean and bright and comfortable and more than provided for all of our needs during our stay. Would 100% book again.
We stayed at Jane's apartment while in Atlanta for work. Unfortunately, our trip got cut one day short because of an impending snowstorm, so we decided to beat it out of town. Thus, we only stayed in the apartment for one night and were really only there to sleep. Regardless, it was a good stay.
The apartment is just like it looks in the photos. A huge kitchen, two big bedrooms, and a decent sized living room with a small dining table. The beds were comfortable (the one in the back bedroom was quite squeaky, though). Tastefully decorated and comfortably appointed.
It is located in a residential area that feels very safe, about a 15 minute walk from restaurants, grocery stores, and the park.
Jane was very prompt and responsive in her communication. We had an issue with the Internet when arriving, but she quickly helped us resolve it. She was even kind enough to send us something we accidentally left there in our rush to leave. Check in was easy and uber had no problem finding the address.
The only concern we had (and it was quite minor) is that the upstairs neighbor and dog were a bit noisy walking. But it wasn't really an issue as once they went to bed, there was no noise.
Pros: location, comfy beds, good value
Cons: squeaky bed, small dining table, upstairs neighbor
Parent note: Apartment could easily accommodate 4 adults and 2 children (not sure if Jane has a crib available). Fairly kid-friendly space. Not much for kids to get into. Small outdoor space for kids to play in.
