This is a fantastic apartment! The location is perfect, a great base to explore New York, and over Christmas there was an ice rink right around the corner. Matt was quick to respond to any questions and the key pick up was simple. Inside the exposed brick and wood beams were fantastic, and the apartment had everything we needed. We were a group of 4 and it was spacious and relaxing after wandering around New York for hours! When I go back to New York I would definitely like to stay again!
very nice location, clean and quiet.
compared to my other air bnb stays it doesn't have all the nice extra amenities - which is why I'm giving it four not five stars- however I would definitely recommend. Great little neighborhood which has REALLY come a LONG way!
great place, great area, very nice place to live, more quiet that in the upper part of the city. the space is big, the kitchen very well equipped, the decoration is lovely and very modern, and it is very clean! we loved it! we would have stayed longer!!!
very easy to collect the keys. easy to connect to the rest of Manhattan by the subway and buses.
we will come back!
we had a wonderful time at Matt's place, just wish we hadn't been so busy in the city so we could spend more time at the apartment. The space was clean, comfortable, fully stocked and larger than I expected. We enjoyed the view of the bridge (especially in the morning with the sunrise), and the local eateries were quite charming (Jack's for coffee, Nelson Blues for a drink). We were also quite delighted to find the Sunday Farmer's market across the street.
There is some residual noise from the bars on the first floor, but it's New York, so that's to be expected. We had four people so two people slept in the bedroom, one on the couch and one on the queen air mattress; we were all quite comfortable.
Matt was extremely responsive when I had questions before our arrival, and the pick-up of the key from the bar downstairs was easy and super convenient because we weren't entirely sure when we would arrive.
We would DEFINITELY stay here again!
Matt and Amy's light and airy apartment was perfectly described and incredibly spacious. The home was clean, ready for 4 people, and had a ton of great amenities. Kitchen, living, bedroom were all modern, comfortable, and clean. His place is easy to find and though we were right on top of a bar, we could barely hear the noise. It's a short and safe walk to the closest subway and cabs are really easy to find nearby. The location was amazing and had an incredible view of Brooklyn bridge. I'd highly recommend their place as one of the top airbnb properties in NYC!
This was my first time using Airbnb but Matt walked me through everything I needed to know. He was extremely helpful and even got me out of a tough bind when I goofed up my flight schedule. The key pickup was simple and hassle free even though my flight didnt get in until 2AM!
The apartment was spotless when I got there! Beautifully decorated and had a very cozy feel to it. The location was unbelievable, with the kitchen window looking right at the Brooklyn Bridge! Close to shopping, restaurants, and really wonderful bars. We frequented Jeremy's Ale House, which was just a stones throw away. Huge beers in styrofoam cups for very cheap! Can't beat that.
Matt and Amy provided clean linens and plenty of towels. The kitchen had glassware to use and there were plenty of blankets and places to sleep. We slept 4 very comfortably.
The size and location of the apartment cannot be beat! Would definitely stay here again. Thanks to Matt and Amy for their generous hospitality, highly recommended!!
This is one of the best apts I've stayed at... HUGE for New York and really clean and well designed and comfortable. Really fun area with great dining/drinking/coffee nearby and a terrific farmer's market on Sunday. Matt was a great host; he gave us terrific fluffy towels, soap, etc. Just a very nice place to stay. I would love to stay again someday.
