Air Conditioning for those hot summer nights!
SUMMER has arrived in Paris the city of lights and is in full swing. The days are warm and bright with mild evenings, perfect for strolling the banks of the Seine amongst all the activities. With business back to usual and University students preparing for finals there is electricity in the air and plenty of taste and style in the streets. Decorations adorn the shops and seasonal products fill the boutiques with articles for sale as the season is alive. The air carries a mixture of bright colors and comforting odors from the boulangeries with their fresh baked croissants & breads to warm the senses while the smell of colorful Summer flowers in the Luxembourg Gardens in fall bloom press you onward toward home where the retreat of a cool apartment can be a welcome comfort for memories to last a life time.

This just in from the UN World Tourism Organization: "Even in tough times, everybody wants to go to France, which remained the top tourism destination with 80 million yearly arrivals. Travel deals should be abundant throughout the year, and likely into 2015 as well. A competitive travel market is a boon for travelers, so take advantage of the weaker euro while you can! As Paris is the most visited city in the world the 3% downturn in travel might just make your visit a little less crowded and a little more economic and a lot more personal.
With over 14 years of experience in accommodating travelers to the best vacations of their lives, I look forward to making your upcoming trip comfortable and memorable.
Self contained apartment. Clients have individual laundry facility, kitchen with appliances and bathroom. No common shared amenities.
Guests with a baby stroller are welcome to store item in the entry way of the townhouse on ground floor.
I live on-site and am able to assist you with your day-to-day activities or provide suggestions for any wishes you may have in visiting Paris.
Directly downstairs in the building is an organic grocer where you can find everything from fresh fruits and vegetables, milk and eggs, bread and scones to a large selection of teas, juices, elixirs and home remedies.
Across the street is a Mediterranean restaurant (see my online guestbook) called Le Risale. With home made soups and salads, fresh pasta or vegetarian dishes to full hardy meals. Diagonally across the street is a late night grocer for that sweet tooth snack after midnight. Our block is lined with a wholesome baker, homeopath pharmacy, French Deli and Italian Deli. Walk a block further and you will find a fish market on Tues. & Fri, butcher, cheese store, wine store and chocolate shop. Not to mention the variety of French specialty shops with the old fashioned painted glass storefronts that have become historic treasures to be preserved.
On block away in front of the Luxembourg station is the Hotel Luco which serves a full breakfast, as well as Sunday brunch and meals all day long.
Conveniently located just one and one half blocks from the Luxembourg RER B Metro station, which serves as a direct link to/from both Charles de Gaulle and Orly Sud airports as well as Gare du Nord train station where the EuroStar arrives from London.
The bus lines 21 & 27 are just two blocks away with bus routes that cross St. Germain to Place St. Michel then connect to the islands and the Louvre on the other side before continuing up to the Opera Garnier and St. Lazar train station for departures to Normandy.
It’s so hard to add anything new to all the glowing reviews about our recent stay at Robert’s wonderful Paris flat. All I can say is one huge DITTO!
This was my first experience both with him and Airbnb and I couldn’t have been more pleased. I really appreciate the way he answered all my questions before I decided to make the reservation, his very detailed directions on how to take the RER from CDG to the apartment (it’s really very easy…I highly recommend it), the way I was greeted upon my arrival (thanks, Peter, for helping me take my suitcase up three flights of stairs), the dozens of clean towels, the kitchen equipment, the location, etc., etc., etc.! The place was so cozy that I didn’t want to leave!
I also can’t say enough great things about the location. This was my 4th trip to Paris and this part of the Latin Quarter is far enough away from the usual touristy places, yet close enough to walk to the major sites, such as Norte Dame, etc.
I would definitely stay there again.
We have stayed in Robert's superbly located townhouse in the 5th arr. many times and never tire of coming back. We started coming each Spring when our son was a year old. He is now eight and we just returned from another fabulous Paris experience. The townhouse dates from the 1790's with some of the foundation dating from the 7th century.
Robert has restored and decorated the townhouse with exceptional taste and love. Over the years he has accumulated the various necessities one would need to stay comfortably with babies and very young children.
The neighborhood is quiet and very close to the Jardin du Luxembourg.
Robert is perfect host and ambassador for Paris and has always taken care of our needs. He works very hard to keep his apartments a good value for travelers. I highly recommend staying in any of his apartments, as we've tried them all. My only concern is not being able to stay in the future because of its growing popularity!
What a fantastic apartment in a beautiful area of Paris, and Robert could not be a more friendly and welcoming host! He really cares that you get a good understanding of the area and has some fabulous restaurant recommendations too!
I'm already trying to plan my next visit and will certainly be staying at one of his apartments. Could not recommend more if you are a small group or couple looking for a real slice of Paris in your vacation.
Transfer from CDG airport could not be simpler either! (Straight down the blue line on the RER)
For our honeymoon, we had absolutely perfect week in Paris!
Paris hospitality at its best. The apartment is very nice and clean. Perfect for couples. District fairly quiet. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Hob is good. RER is a four-minute walk. Next time we will definitely stay here!
We would like to say big THANK YOU to Robert and Peter for outstanding hospitality!

This place is wonderful, both the apartment and the location. It's in the 5th arrondissement, a couple of blocks from the Luxembourg RER stop, and the gardens, of course. The 3rd floor apartment has pretty much everything you need - kitchenette with fridge, stove, washer/dryer, bath with shower, dining room, sitting/living room and nice size bedroom with large windows. It easily housed my grown daughter and niece and myself in comfort. The neighborhood is relatively quiet and there's a bakery, mini market and additional organic grocery and a pharmacy downstairs.
Robert is a fabulous host - friendly, very helpful and easy to contact. He made sure we had everything we needed.
I highly recommend this listing and would definitely contact Robert for living space the next time I'm in Paris, whenever that might be.
What a wonderful place to stay on our vacation to Paris. Robert is a fabulous host and the amenities are top-notch! Close to the metro, markets, local shopping, and just plain comfortable. We will definitely stay here on our next trip.
Loved it all. Very cozy and welcoming for our family of four. Such a thankfully quiet place (at least in the fall) in the big city. Robert was a thoughtful host checking in often to make sure we had all we needed. We loved being near the park to give the (email hidden) respite from the mad rush of city life and the neighborhood was full of wonderful places to eat by the pantheon nearby. It looked like the owner was taking care of some maintenance so the place will be in even better shape soon.
The apartment itself was charming, old and lovely with very efficient radiators. This was our first apartment share and Robert was so warm and rightly proud of his place that's why we chose this apt from the many many interesting choices offered at this site. We would love to stay there again, and recommend this apartment and this host highly.
Our experience in the Paris Latin Quarter Luxembourg was fabulous. The apartment itself was cozy, clean and conveniently located. The beautifully furnished apartment was lovely and provided a "home" rather than "hotel" atmosphere. Robert could not have been more helpful. He was available to us prior to our arrival and was most helpful with travel, restaurant and sightseeing recommendations after we arrived. He was most gracious tolerating our 3am departure (which he helped us arrange) and was courteous when we had a minor key mix-up. It was comforting that his English is perfect so communication was with ease. I would certainly rent from Robert in the future and
recommend his properties to friends. Robert Rentals Really Rock!
The apartment is lovely. In a great place. Robert a perfect and attentive host. Worth every penny. Will return when next in paris
