Arriving in Vernazza, Natalia was indeed at the bottom on the staircase as we descended from our train. And as others have mentioned, of the little house La Nave, the location is very good and makes for super easy travel to and from the other towns as it is so close to the train station but, not too close. And there is no lugging of bags up and down the otherwise steep streets as the house sits uphill of the town center. Vernazza is tiny so you are not at all far from the sea. The house also has a small river next to it so you have the sound of running water to fall asleep. It also sits at the trail end to Corniglia.
The house is tiny and comfortable, having 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the second level, with a washing machine. The first level is a small room for sitting and sleeping with 1 of the baths. There were five of us in the house and we cooked most nights as well. Enjoying close company is essential as the house is small. The five of us were fine.
Vernazza is a charming town, tiny, totally adorable. Depending on the season it can get very full of tourists. La Nave sits up and away from the crowds which is nice. No sea view but, there is a marvelous rooftop terrace, for sunsets and clothes drying. I would be very happy to return to La Nave for another visit. Thank you Natalia.
Accueil fiable malgré notre retard à la gare. Appartement charmant, typique et bien équipé. Merci pour le beau séjour.
We had a great stay in Vernazza at Natalia and Peters house. They met us at the train station with a very warm welcome and walked us to the house which is very close and no stairs to lug your bags up! The house is very quaint and cosy and was fine for our family of 4. The roof terrace was a welcome space of tranquility! No ocean views but glorious all the same. We were able to cook basic meals there and the pirates cafe is but a few steps away for a super breaky before the breathtaking walks! Loved loved loved our stay in Vernazza!
Natalia's apartment has a fantastic location in Vernazza. The roof terrace is lovely, the apartment is very big and the convenience of a washing machine was great for us. A great base for staying in Cinque Terre.
We had texted Natalia our train arrival time & she & her husband were there to meet us .The house was exactly as described on the web site. The roof-top terrace was a bit of a challenge to get to due to the steepness of the stairs.( like a Slingsby ladder) but well worth the effort & made a wonderful outdoor space for relaxing.
The house was very convenient to everything with a nice kitchen to make snacks. The washing machine was a real bonus.
Our hosts were delightful and we had a good experience in a beautiful place. Highly recommended
La Nave was the perfect apartment in the perfect town! It was so lovely to come back from a day of hiking and be able to rest in the tranquil and cosy sitting room with french doors to a small terrace surrounded by lovely antiques and the sound of a trickling brook. Dinner each evening, when not eating out at the Pirate (a wonderful restaurant recommended by Natalia and Peter with great internet, greater food, and even greater owners!), was spent on the roof top terrazza soaking in the evening sunset. We really appreciated Natalia and Peter. They were wonderful hosts that met us at the station, showed us around the apartment and came to our immediate rescue when the power to the house was knocked out by a storm. We became very smug when looking at all of the other tourists getting off the train and lugging their luggage and themselves up many staircases to apartments high up on the hills when we only had a short stroll from the train station to our front door. I would highly recommend this apartment (or shall I say house) to anyone considering visiting Cinque Terre.
