Large guest room in my home. I have breakfast foods for you to help yourself to (i.e, I don't cook your breakfast.) If 3 people share this room, one sleeps on the couch.
I have been enjoying welcoming many wonderful guests into my home for over 5 years now with Airbnb (from 24 different countries so far.)
In this guest room there is a queen-sized bed, couch, wifi, TV, desk with computer you may use, also some closet and drawer space. Must share bathroom with me, (or use basement bath) but my time is now flexible since I retired! There has never been an inconvenience yet with sharing the bathroom. The room fits two people comfortably, but sometimes a third person sleeps on the couch, which they report is comfortable.
I, of course, provide clean towels, soaps, hair dryer, and will probably have on hand anything you might have forgotten. You are welcome to use my shampoos, etc. so you don't have to check baggage. I have some breakfast foods for you to help yourself to, and coffee and tea.
My house is in an older neighborhood and has a more urban than suburban feel (in that the lawn is not perfect, etc.) My house is clean, but not show-home perfect. I have my piles from time to time. I DO live here. And sometimes it's spotless and sometimes it isn't. Your room and bath are always clean. Most people love it, but if you are a real neat freak, you might be happier elsewhere. The neighborhood to the west is lovely, full of beautiful homes. To the east there are modest homes.
There are a few restaurants within walking distance from my home, and a nice bakery.
You may make yourselves at home in all public parts of house -- kitchen, living and dining rooms, or relaxing outside on patio, watching films downstairs, or listening to stereo. You may use my washer and dryer if need be.
Interaction with Guests
I am happy to interact as much or as little as desired by guest. I am busy and often go out in the evening. I have lots of guest information collected in a large binder in the room. I am happy to make recommendations, or take you with me if I'm going somewhere you'd enjoy.
I love the diversity of my neighborhood and its proximity to shopping and restaurants. I live on a beautiful parkway.
The number 20 bus is 2 blocks away to go downtown, or the other direction to the Anschutz Medical campus. Easy transportation from the airport via RTD Skyride, route AS. $9.
There is ample free street parking and also some space in my driveway.
Other Things to Note
There is a one-time $5 cleaning fee, which is really more like a one-night-stay surcharge.
Also, I have another room in my basement which I rent which is more private and less expensive. It has a single water bed. It's called "Private" Put 592 in the URL instead of 590, to see it. Down there you can hear people walking around up above.
No smoking inside the house. I might accept certain pets if you inquire first. There is a dog door for a medium-sized dog. No cats- sorry, I'm allergic.
Jill was perfect in every way and her space was very comfortable and inviting. She was very accomodating and helpful on all accounts!
Ali and I had a great experience booking a room with Jill, it was easy and very timely to book. She was very welcoming and helpful, going out of her way to help us feel at home. The room was clean and I had no trouble sleeping, with a variety of pillows and linens. We woke up to coffee, a hot shower and cereal wich was very nice. Jill even offered us a ride wich was not needed but really appreciated for someone in the area for a few days. We had a good time chatting and were on our way, it was everything I expected and then some. Thank you! I strongly recommend this room :)
Jill is such a great host! She is like a mom away from home! The room was very comfy and warm and she had a lot of recommendations in a book for us. She even offered us extra clothes for our concert at Red Rocks. Thanks so much for everything!
We arrived at Jill's late at night. She was welcoming and we had everything we needed. In the morning, she even let us cook breakfast and gave us blankets because she was worried we would get cold in our tents! We loved her so much we are staying again at the end of our trip!
Jill was a responsive host and reached to me multiple times before my visit. She was accessible, provided a clean residence, and included all the important information I needed during my stay. She was an engaging host and made my stay easy.
I really enjoyed staying at Jill's place. She had well placed, clear instructions for everything (like the wifi password).
I had a wonderful stay at Jill's place. The house is in a quiet and safe neighborhood, and there was parking off to the side in her driveway as well as street parking. The room was as described -- comfortable! The desk, sofa and stand came in handy. It was nice that there were breakfast foods but because of my celiac disease I had brought some of my own foods and snacks. Jill recommended a Korean restaurant, so we had a delicious dinner there. Jill was going to an event at the Alliance Francaise that evening and invited me. I really enjoyed it since I’m a bit of a Francophile. It was really nice to spend time with Jill. She is very warm and easygoing. It was a very welcoming atmosphere. It’s nice to meet people who are so kind and down-to-earth. That is a rarity in the competitive work and school worlds I’ve lived in throughout most of my life. Thank you, Jill, for a lovely stay!

I am friendly and I love meeting people from all over the world. I have had guests from 26 different countries so far. I'm easy going and easy to get along with. I can be like staying with a friend of a friend, in that I am glad to take care of your needs, and give you pointers about Denver, (or pick you up from the bus) or also happy to leave you alone and grant you all the privacy you want (tell me.) My dog died and now I have no pets (boo hoo). I speak French well, some German and Spanish.
