This is a smaller room, with aproximately (60 sq/ft - 6m²) with no built-in closet as the other rooms, but has its own private bathroom.
It is acessible through the service area, but has access to the entire apartment and its uttilities.
Vila Madalena is a upper middle class neighborhood of the Pinheiros district in the western part of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The neighborhood is known for its bustling nightlife, and its history as a center of São Paulo bohemian culture and art. The neighborhood is filled with dozens of art galleries and studios, an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars and also boasts a series of impressive graffiti-covered streets and alleys.
We are in walking distance to all kinds of Bars, Clubs and Restaurants that Vila Madalena can offer.
Train and Subway just a few blocks away and Busses to all major neighborhoods as well.
We love a nice conversation, getting to know new interesting people, having our Friends over for a Dinner, have some Wine or just a Beer.

I dont like to put up rules, since I believe everything I dislike are in the common sense of good guests and hosts, but this can be a very abstract subject to some.
Here are some basic and important ones;
- Absolutely no smoking allowed inside the apartment, only on the service area.
- If you break it, you pay it!
- Always clean after yourself.
- Don't walk around in your underwear.
- Don't use/borrow what's not yours.
- No one night stands are allowed.
- Keep your mess in your room.
- No intolerance will be tolerated.
This apartment is well-stocked and located within close proximity to bars, restaurants, the metro, and grocery stores. If you are on a budget and want a place to be able to come and go to as you please, this is not a bad place. If you are looking for a place where you can count on people being around for drinks and music several nights a week, this is a good place. If you are hoping for a place that is quiet or people who respect that you are working or sleeping, this is definitely not your place.
I did not find out until arriving in Brazil that Murillo was working in Rio, and it is instead his younger sister hosting. I was supposed to be at the apartment for a month, but I had to rent another apartment for a weekend in the middle and I gladly paid three times the rent to move out early to another apartment due largely to the music/noise and inexplicable mood swings I experienced from the hostess that made me feel unwelcome in the home. She was nevertheless very helpful any time that I had questions about the area and the city.
I know several people had their reservations messed up through airbnb while I was staying there, and I would recommend getting in touch with Murillo and confirming your reservation before counting on it being booked. He was very prompt and friendly in our communications, and I imagine that would avoid any confusion.
I thought that the back room with private bathroom was worth the price for a short stay for someone perhaps with a more flexible mindset. Note that Internet access does not reach the back bedroom, but does reach some of the other bedrooms that are available.
Murillo´s apartment is great! Spacious, with all the equiment you need, very well furnitured, sunny and really well located! I definitly recommend this place!
I had such a great time staying with Murillo and Marilla! Plus it is very close to a lot of cool bars in Pinheiros and Vila Madalena. I definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to stay in Sao Paulo. .
i really enjoyed so much staying here. it was an amazing room with a big window overlooking trees, beautiful hard wood floor, shelf space. i was in heaven. amazing house, really nice people.
neighborhood is totally convenient and local to lots of cool places to eat, fresh juice, nightlife, etc..
only regret with this is that i moved out already! hoping to come back in a couple weeks !!!
You’re going to be hard-pressed to find a cooler apartment, presided over by a more gracious host, than at this location. The apartment is comfortable, well-equipped, and perfectly located within walking distance of metro, supermarkets, countless restaurants, and the always hip Vila Madalena. Add to that the presence of the uber-friendly Murillo (and his sofa-cat Mermão) and you have a consummate Paulista experience. 5 out of 5 stars.
The apartment is very well and conveniently located; Murillo is a great host and was a of utmost support with all challenges I had in not knowing the city and not speaking Portuguese. Great place to stay!
