This adorable schoolhouse was the perfect setting for a weekend escape from New York City. I absolutely loved the place; it warm and cozy and clean, and was exactly as pictured.
Many thanks to Joe. I will definitely try to book this place again in the springtime!
We had a great time. Everything was phenomenal. The house and property were perfect for a small, short getaway from the city. We would definitely return.
Beautiful cozy place in a beautiful, quiet setting. Very warm, sunny, comfortable and clean. We had a wonderful stay and will certainly return for future visits. Our dog enjoyed the stay as much as we did. Kitchen is set up very minimally but we didn't let that stop us...we made do with what was there. Great bakery in town if the kitchen doesn't meet your expectations. A great place to enjoy a quiet weekend.
The place was even more charming than pictured and we had such a lovely lovely time. Joe and Megan were super helpful, flexible and communicative -- I'd stay again in a heartbeat.
The schoolhouse was everything Joe described. We stayed for a few days just as the weather was getting colder, and it was still very comfortable. The grounds were expansive enough to take afternoon walks, and the extra quilts and blankets that the cabin has is more than enough to stay warm. A wonderful place to unplug and just relax. Thanks, Joe!
Thank you Joe! We had a wonderful stay in Bovina. It is a cozy spot with lots of natural light and set in the most beautiful landscape. We Got coffee and breakfast at Two Old Tarts down the hill both mornings, took a drive to Ommegang Brewary, and enjoyed the view from the little cabin and the walks down to the pond. Bring a book, cards, dominos or your own laptop for DVDs!
Hope to be back again soon!
A perfect place to unplug — we would return in a heartbeat. Thanks again to Joe, who was the perfect host and amazingly quick at responding.
The little schoolhouse in Bovina is everything it's advertised to be—charming, peaceful, and perfectly situated alongside the Catskills. My husband and I brought our lab who joyously ran and romped through the fields and swam in the small pond out back. We took long afternoon naps in the comfy bed. We stargazed at night. Short drives to Delhi, Andes and Oneonta for dining were fun and breakfast at Two Old Tarts in Bovina Center is an absolute must. Though we didn't meet Joe, he responded promptly to any and all questions asked. Too, we loved the privacy and the feeling that we had the entire countryside to ourselves. We're definitely looking forward to making the schoolhouse a getaway tradition.
The school house was simply beautiful. A cute little house surrounded by nature, good vibes and silent.
it was a great stay! joe is incredibly gracious and accommodating. the apartment looks EXACTLY as it's pictured. anyone who stays here should definitely drive to town, go to good cheap food and get some local steaks to put on the grill out back. such a lovely visit! hope to return sooner rather than later.
