Broughty Ferry is charming Scottish seaside village, perfect for a short break or a place to spend your summer with the kids. Built as a Victorian seaside resort, it has always been a great upmarket place to live. Characterised by a thriving tightly-knit community, great shops, restaurants and pubs, its a terrific place to shop and dine. The cottage is in one of the best locations in the area, located on Long Lane, it offers total convenience to grocery, restaurant, coffee, gelato and shopping.
"The Ferry" as it known as locally, is a thriving community of locals and visitors. With excellent beach access, glorious sunrise and sunset walks, you will see all kinds of wildlife on the trails, including sea birds, swans, dolphins and seals. Make sure to take the kids to visit the famous award-winning Visocchi's ice cream gelato parlour and taste their amazing ice cream. And remember to take a boat trip to visit the many dolphins who visit the Tay during the summer months. Spend some time with the kids exploring the fascinating Broughty Castle on the Esplanade. If you are visiting Scotland and want to get a taste of east coast living, this is the perfect base location. With St Andrews just 20 minutes away and Edinburgh just over an hour, you will escape the crowds but still see everything and more. The Highlands can be visited in a day trip, although obviously you'll want to spend more time there if you can. Come and see for yourself why Broughty Ferry was officially named as the 2nd best neighborhood in the whole of the UK in 2014!
There are buses which will take you everywhere just a few minutes walk from the house. The local train station is less than two minutes walk.
You will be renting the entire home. You also have access to a small garden space, perfect for sitting outdoors on a warm summer day or evening. There is a communal drying green area for hanging up laundry shared with a lovely respectful neighbor.
Interaction with guests
I am always available by phone or email. I do have a wonderful friend who manages the place for me day-to-day as I travel a lot with my job.
