The home is unique and beautiful! Sharon and Rick were very welcoming and lovely to talk to.
I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay. Sharon and Rick were wonderful hosts. They were so friendly and extremely helpful in recommending eateries and activities. We felt completely welcome. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and home-y. I highly recommend!
It was really a nice stay at Sharon and Rick Hydren sweet place! Though the weekend we were there was very cold and gloomy, the hosts' warm welcome and the fancy house with fireplace delighted all!
Moreover, the room listed is at the other side of the house, which means you have enough privacy. That's really awesome!
Looking forward to meet them again!
Sharon and Rick are wonderful hosts. I felt welcomed the minute I set foot in their beautiful house. They were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, clean and cosy and the bed very comfortable. Everything was as described. I had a very good night sleep, and was offered a delicious breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend staying at Sharon and Rick's when visiting the Boston area.
We were welcomed by Rick, got a few basic instructions and thereafter we just effortlessly blended into this lovely couples lives as they were going about there daily business. We were served a delicious breakfast with special treats every morning. The house is exceptionally beautifully constructed, a pleasure in itself to explore. Our bedroom was light and airy, the bed is great and the bathroom is huge. The neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet. We spent a perfect last day of summer on Plum Island. Don't miss Bob Lobster.
We are first time Airbnb users and we enjoyed our stay at Sharon & Rick's beautiful home. Everything was so inviting: comfortable bed, lovely breakfast and a really pretty neighborhood - my husband went for a morning run and really enjoyed the picturesque setting. The Hydren's gave us wonderful suggestions - thanks Sharon for mentioning The Causeway (best clam chowder of our lives!) and Rick for steering us toward the MFA (we loved every minute there and plan to return). A great stay for us and a great introduction to Airbnb. Thank you!
This was our first Airbnb stay, and we were really not sure what to expect. Leaving from Rhode Island on a Friday, mid-afternoon on Columbus Day weekend, we were sure to get stuck in the Boston traffic on the way up. We were running almost 45 minutes late, so we contacted Rick to give him a "heads up", (what a way to make a first impression)! Even though we were late, Rick took the time to walk us through his beautiful home, and explain local restaurants for dining. We loved the room upstairs and the large private bathroom. Rick had breakfast and hot coffee ready for us at 7:30 a.m. so we could get an early start up to Lincoln, New Hampshire. My wife and I both had a great Airbnb experience staying with Sharon & Rick!
Hosts: Sharon and Rick have lived in the area for 25 years enjoying the seashore, golf, and the rural life style. Sharon a teacher in an inner-city community while Rick is a professional photographer and graphic designer. Close by are some wonderful seafood restaurants offering the local Ipswich clams and lobsters. Please relax on our deck enjoying lunch or late afternoon cocktails.
