The Space

The nice 2 room apartment is conveniently located in the busy and scenic neighborhood Prenzlauer Berg between S-Bahn Schoenhauser Allee and S-Bahn Gesundbrunnen, Underground line 2, tram line 1, night bus is there, not for you'll find S-Bahn Bornholmer Str. All windows are facing south to the back yard - hence the place is bright and calm. The house was built around 1904, so it has wooden floors, a double bed in the big room, writing desk, lots of books (some in English), kitchen with stove and oven, toaster, dishes, cooking device, washing machine, fridge, w-lan and flatrate for landline within Germany. Sheets and towels can be provided. A nice little but not so young cat is living in the flat. She doesn't like to travel anymore, she wants food, water, some caressing. At the next corner there is Berlin's first vegan supermarket, there are several health food stores, supermarkets, shops, cafés, restaurants nearby, bars and clubs, the later can all be reached by public transportation which runs 24 hours from friday to sunday. Berlin is great for cyclists, you can rent bikes nearby. To the Museum Island with world famous Pergamon Museum you get directly by tram no. 1, to the Konzerthaus and the Philharmonie by U-Bahn 2, you can swim in the Weiße See (white lake) or Orankesee - 20 minutes by bike, or you take the S-Bahn to Greifswalder Straße and then the tram. Ijn Winter there is the Europabad - 50 metres lanes for 4 € or 2,50 € if you get there for early morning or late in the evening, also there are some extraordinary historical public indoor pools in Art Deco or Bauhaus style.
You can go to Potsdam within 1 hour by S-Bahn. Moreover, at walking distance, is the Mauerpark with its famous sunday flea market! Shortly: central bur normal, not an entirely gentrified hub filled with tourists, but a piece of Berlin. You'll be right in the middle but still in a calm neighborhood and have access to all things of daily need.

  • Nice, calm flat for one person or a couple in the centre of Berlin. Near to the subway and the tram. Tania prepared our stay very well, so we really enjoyed it at her flat. The mailing before the stay and the hand-over of keys was very easy, because of Tanias flexibility. The cat is a shy one, but very thankful, if she gets a bit of attention. In the surrounding area there are a lot of cool bars, clubs and coffee bars. A supermarket is 200 meters away.
Summarized a really good stay in Berlin.

  • I rented Tania's flat for some friends who were visiting Berlin few days. They loved the place (cat included). It's a typical flat from Prenzlauer Berg, very well located and connected, bright, perfect for 2 people or a couple. Thanks!

Hey there! I'm a real Berliner, born in the neighborhood of Pankow, raised in Friedrichshain and Prenzlauer Berg. After some time around i had come back to Berlin - and think it is one of the greatest cities in the world! Even in grey winter: there is so much to discover here, arts and culture, adventure, sports, nightlife, good food, interesting people form allover the world, a lot of parks and green - and all for moderate prices! There are a lot of lakes and forests around Berlin, no mountains, unfortunately but you could even go across country skiing in winter - and you can get there via BGV - the public transportation system of Berlin - one of the world's best. It's also a cyclists-city - i go almost everywhere by bike all year round. It is a cosmopolitan city with small KIETZE inside - small distinct areas and that doesn't cost the world and is very laid back. i believe i know the city very well - on the other hand i constantly discover something i hadn't seen before - Berlin is changing constantly and reinvents itself all the time but keeps its character. Berlin is very vivid but not to hectic. I love it it and i love to show visitors around!
