When you informed me the morning on day3 that you already left the house in the evening of your 2nd night, I immediately apologized and made an investigation on what happened by checking the house myself. I verified your complaints and found inconsistencies. Your complaint to the caretaker was only slow internet and quite warm air-conditioning unit which we immediately addressed by scheduling a cleaning the next day. I connected to the internet, and it was a success and I even made a screenshot of the speedtest should you file a dispute. But I see that your primary concern, and maybe irked you, was the stay-in caretaker which you accused me of not declaring in the listing (so I sent you screenshots of the details of the listing wherein a stay in caretaker was clearly stipulated). I really wonder why you complained also about this when I can vividly recall our phone conversation after you dropped your luggage, asking me if the caretaker will still be there since you will be returning to the house by 9pm. I told you that she is a stay-in and she will be assisting you in preparing your meals, cleaning the house and do your laundry, and you said “great”! As to the house not being ready yet at 1:30pm, of course Sir, because the caretaker badly needed every minute of the 2-hr window time in cleaning and setting-up the house, the very reason I cannot approve early check in if we have successive bookings. You requested for refund for 2nights and threatened me that you will take further methods if not granted (so I was not really surprised with your bad review). I sent you an alteration request for unused one night considering that you left the house on the night of day2, few hours after you arrived from your Samal tour, and informed me in the morning of day3. But you did not approve it because you want the 2nights. I was honest and took pride of my integrity when I told you that the house has successive guests and was fully booked for the month of May, and nobody complained about the foul odor or the internet or any dripping in any bathrooms except when a guest unplugged the internet modem. I even thanked you for raising those concerns and that we can check on those concerns and correct them asap. I was thinking maybe the dripping was caused by a sudden strong pressure of the water that made shower head in the masters bathroom to explode, but it happened on the 2nd week of May, and guests who stayed from those dates until today have not observed any except your companion. I even checked the ceilings of the bathrooms, and there are no water marks. Nevertheless, I advised the caretaker to religiously monitor the house and report anything that needs repair or maintenance. It saddens me that you assumed that we have low standard for not meeting your expectations, apparently that include most other guests as well, even the owner of a merchandising company who stayed in the house with his staff to attend a construction expo in SMX Lanang for a week and who rated us 5star. And it troubles me that you never contacted me for any concerns during your stay when you were aware that I was always a call or a text or a message away. You called me twice on day1 and it was cordial, and great, but you never mentioned any complaints. Anyhow, I am still thankful with your feedback because it was a learning experience for us. I believe that there is always room for improvement even if we have been hosting for the past 3years, and this reminds us to never be lenient and complacent.
