One of the finest locations in beautiful Lincoln Park! Your private 1 bedroom apartment is super sunny, fully furnished and faces out onto a delightful & historic woodland avenue. Back in the day, Charlie Chaplin chose to live just doors down, and Mother Cabrini was a resident at the end of our block!
Set in a lovely greystone in the heart of Lincoln Park, this apartment is all AirBnB and located on a gorgeous woodland avenue with all the area has to offer just outside your front door. Only a few blocks to the lakefront, Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago Historical Museum, grocery store, coffee shops, boutique shops, nightlife and tons of great restaurants. Just check out our walk score ("Walker's Paradise" ! "Excellent Transit" ! - (website hidden) ) Local and express bus to downtown literally around the corner. Red Line “El” stop just blocks down Fullerton Avenue. Convenient coin laundry and bike storage in the basement. Recycling program in place. Clean, quiet building; pets welcome. Our guests always comment how wonderful it is for walking and exploring the city!
Our apartment features a new queen-size bed with cushy “topper”. Fold-down couch in living room accommodates two additional guests. Tall ceilings, sturdy vintage construction so you won't hear your neighbors. There is air conditioning in both living room and bedroom in addition to ceiling fans in each room, for those folks who enjoy cool breezes without AC. There are hardwood floors and WI-FI throughout in addition to a Dream Machine stereo phone dock/clock radio and flat screen TV (with Netflix, no cable) in the living room.
The apartment is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, whether overnight or for extended periods – linens, ironing board and iron, hair dryer…heck, we even supply Band-Aids and an umbrella.
The kitchen area is fully equipped with seating for three, microwave, stove, oven, full-sized refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot, kettle, pots, plates and cutlery – enough equipment to cook a gourmet meal every night! However, we are not a hotel chain and our pricing reflects this. We do not supply personal toiletries, other than soap, since we expect that you will be bringing your own favorites. If you do run out, there is a convenience store 1 block away.
Street parking is incredibly tight, especially on the weekends and most evenings, but if you are traveling by car, parking is available immediately outside the back door for $10/night. This is a GREAT place to stay. Jason and Alyssa have done a wonderful job of making the apartment feel homey and warm. Nice location and was perfect for my wife and me. Our (30-something!) daughter flew in and slept on the futon sofa, so it was the perfect spot for the 3 of us. Highly recommended and Jason was incredibly helpful (& patient). Thank You
We loved our stay! Jason was a fantastic host who provided us with everything we needed, and promptly answered all questions we had. The location was great, as it was in a nice quite neighbourhood and handy to public transit. The rental parking spot was a definite bonus as we were driving through the city. Anyone looking for a great home base while staying in Chicago would love this place!
Great experience. The apartment was clean and exactly as described. Jason was extremely helpful and made sure the stay was great!
The one bedroom apartment met our needs exactly for a five day stay in early April for my wife and I and a teenage son, who slept on the futon. It was clean and furnished with all of the necessary supplies.
Parking in the back for an additional modest fee worked out very well and really was a necessity given tight street parking situation.
Location was great; we were five minutes from the Lincoln Park Zoo and able to walk to a Cubs game at Wrigley. It's also only about a 10-15 minute to the EL.
Jason met us when we arrived, which was useful, and later helped us by phone to solve a minor problem with the TV. One small quibble was that we arrived just as the season was changing to Spring and couldn't turn down the thermostat-but solved that by opening a window.
The apartment was exactly as listed, and it was the perfect size for our family of three. Our teenage son was fine sleeping on the futon in the living room. The bed in the bedroom was so comfortable, and the room gets totally dark. The radiator occasionally made loud bangs and hisses, but we got used to the noises. The location is great, and having a parking spot in the back is ideal! We loved walking up to Clark Street and sampling a bunch of great restaurants. We really appreciated Jason's hospitality - he kept in touch via text and patiently answered all our questions. We were also grateful for the two binders full of information about local restaurants, and the guidebooks were very handy as well. The apartment was clean, and there were plenty of towels, toilet paper, and tissues! We loved our stay and we would definitely consider staying here again. Thank you!
Good location, lots of really good communication from host who went out of way to be helpful - neat little studio, clean, comfortable bed, great having wifi and Apple TV, plenty of clean linens and towels - would recommend - walk to zoo and we took a really long stroll into town just over an hour walking to magnificent mile past interesting shops and coffee places.
The host was very responsive and communicative, and met us at the BnB upon arrival. The unit was clean , neat and well appointed. The location is fabulous-walking distance to a number of restaurants and cafes, as well as two major bus and train lines.

For my part, I'm a people-person from a family of world travelers. I'm 4th generation Chicago cityboy with experience working in museums, hotels and ecolodges across the globe. I'm a huge nerd for Chicago history and architecture, with great pride in caring for the historic properties my family has lived in, owned & maintained for decades. One of us is always in the city, while the rest of us travel. Any repairs are handled immediately. A while back, when our favorite unit became available, we decided to open it for AirBnB guests. Now, having seen great response in one neighborhood to our design and hospitality choices, we've expanded to another beautiful location. Living nearby with my partner Alyssa allows us to keep in great touch with our guests, maintaining the gardens and accommodations ourselves, as well as hosting occasional art, music and dining events. I love this work; meeting the folks who come to stay with us is precisely what fuels me on the day-to-day. It's a pleasure to be working with AirBnB and I always look forward to the next batch of guests!
