In a shared house, guests enjoy privacy of a separated bedroom & living suite that connects directly to the kitchen and the amazing outdoors. Bathroom is shared with a permanent roommate. He is 33, super clean and easy going.
Clean and comfortable 1 bedroom house in Bernal Heights, shared with a single permanent roommate. Privacy is afforded to you by two sets of doors. My easy going roommate, Ismael, is 33 and keeps busy with school and a night job.
Two private, large decks (1 on the roof) with views of the city. Large stocked kitchen, living room, office / work area and high-end mattress.
We live in a very walk-able area - 2 Blocks from Bernal heights stores, restaurants and markets. Also 2 Blocks from The J Line which connects to the mission, Noe Valley, downtown and BART (SFO). Easy walk to gorgeous Holly Park and Bernal Heights Park. 15 minute walk to heart of the mission. Very convenient to 101 and 280 freeways by car.
Parking is pretty easy, especially for San Francisco standards. There are usually spots on our block, and if not there are always spaces 1 1/2 blocks away at Holly Park.

Interaction with Guests
I will usually be somewhat local during a rental period, as I travel sometimes for my work. I will try to always be reachable by Cell or email should any need arise.
My Roommate is one of my closest friends. He has a late work schedule, so he emerges around 11am for a few hours and then is off to do his thing from around 3pm until 2 - 3am, leaving the house for you to enjoy for the majority of the day.
The bathroom in the hallway is shared but the privacy afforded by the 2-door setup should prevent any unwanted interaction.
My roommate friendly, compassionate & responsive. He will likely engage in as much conversation as you would like or be able to answer any questions you may have about the house. Otherwise, he is clean, respectful, and keeps busy with school and late work schedule. Working at one of the City's great restaurants, he can give some pointers of where to eat.
Our neighborhood is a veritable gem of San Francisco. Bernal Heights is primarily made up of families and young professionals that have a sense of place. Although it has amazing access to main streets and public transit, it is generally protected from riffraff and feels safe at all hours.
There is some very light city noise that you'll encounter, but we've never had complaints. Windows are double paned to insulate against city noise. Complimentary earplugs will be supplied for light sleepers.
The J Line connects you to Noe Valley, Castro, Downtown, & BART (SFO).
Busses 19 & 49 shoot you down mission straight to Market Street, City Hall & the Waterfront.
Located on the south side of the SF, it takes less than 3 minutes to get onto the main freeways by car. This makes taking a car service to the Airport extremely easy. In some cases getting across the city to to a freeway can be upwards of 30 minutes.
Having a rental car here is great, as parking is readily available during the day. In the evening and on weekend nights, parking can become a little tight, but I have never had to walk more than 3 blocks to find an unmetered spot.
Other Things to Note
We want you to enjoy your time in San Francisco to the fullest. This clean, well-appointed little suite is my favorite space in quirky San Francisco and I want to share it with you. With views of the garden below, stellar views of the city and plenty of space to roam around, you can make anything happen here.
This space is ideal for a single person or couple in town for a conference, a stop on an international travel tour, or just a place to land when you are not sure what your next move is.
Treat our home as you would your own and we will be great! No smoking inside (feel free to use the deck).
There's a washer / dryer combo & a dishwasher for your use.
Clean sheets and towels will be on the bed when you check in.
We have wonderful neighbors. Please respect them by keeping noise down at night. No loud music or noise after 10 -- and we request that you do not host gatherings with more than 3 invited guests, unless previously cleared with me or my roommate during your stay.
Sean was a great host, Happy to communicate however I needed and very quick responses.
The area is great just at the edge of Mission. A fun place to be. Sean suggested a few nice places on cortland if you want to get away from the slightly more edgy bits of mission. Great to have both on your doorstep
Its easy to get downtown - 40 - 45 min walk. 20 min Bus or get the Bart.
Really lovely place to stay
My wife and I stayed here for a weekend trip at the beginning of October. We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is spacious, very clean and well decorated. Everything was exactly as described. Not one but TWO great patios/decks - wish we had a chance to make use of them. Not right in the thick of things but VERY easy to get anywhere you want to go. Highly recommended.
Sean and Jonah were traveling when we submitted a last minute request to stay in their fantastic home. They were incredibly responsive and made it work on extremely short notice. Their home is great - an excellent location, fantastic views from both decks, and, best of all, the bed was extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay at their place again.
A truly wonderful experience. The house was uber clean and very tastefully decorated in mid-century modern furniture with a huge kitchen, two decks with stunning views, a big comfortable bed and tons of a/v equipment including a projector with surround sound! The wifi signal was great, the hosts were kind and accommodating. Would stay here again - it's the perfect SF getaway
Sean and Jonah's apartment was cosy and clean, and a perfect hideaway for our time in San Francisco. Sean and Jonah were a pleasure to communicate with. Coffee out on the deck watching the fog roll in was great too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sean and Jonah's home had everything from charm to comfort. Absolutely no complaints. The back deck was awesome!
The place is in a convenient location. The internet is fast, and the house is clean and has everything that a person would need. Also, we had four people in our party so we used the air mattress, which was surprisingly comfy. Great place.
I am a designer who works from home, and want to share my amazing neighborhood with others who are coming to enjoy San Francisco. My roommate and close friend, Ismael, is a filmmaker & bartender. When renting keep in mind that this is a shared setting. Check out our house and if you think it's right for you feel free to drop a line. We'd love to offer any suggestions to make your trip to the bay more enjoyable.
